Unfortunately, I'm getting a CtD every time I try to load the game with the mod in the Update folder. :/ Trying to see if I can fix it.
I am having this same problem and went to a forum that the DAI Modding tools was released on. It seems it is occurring between the computers and hasn't been pin pointed to what is going wrong. I am guessing when we are saving the patch, something isn't saving right in the process. You can read more here where I asked about it.

Thanks for the update, Maymay! I hope somebody will have a moment of brilliance and fix this for us... it would be so awesome to finally start progressing in DAI again. I want to see the ending!

Has anyone tried either installing or uninstalling the free Multiplayer DLC? I bet that changes stuff in the patch folder
I just tried it, and it did add a new folder of course, but still another CtD when I load the game with the mod in the folders. ![]()

I just thought of one more thing it could be... do you have the Digital Deluxe Edition?
Edit: If you don't, try putting the folders from this zip file in there. It's just the deluxe content which shouldn't actually give you deluxe items but on the off-chance they're necessary files for getting this mod working at this early stage part of this we can check ![]()
No additional content is necessary, infact its not even looked at, so not having the deluxe content won't make a difference, nor not having the Multiplayer DLC. As I have explained a few times now, it comes down to different configuration types, the code is not packaging the end product correctly for all different versions, so some peoples it will work, some won't, the reasons for the differences are still unknown, but unfortunately for you guys, no amount of tweaking is going to really fix it. It may appear to look fixed upfront, but who knows what damage it is actually doing to your game in the long term. So please just sit tight while we continue to investigate.
Patches work perfectly with my Digital Deluxe content

What's the likelihood of editing/adjusting lighting effects?
Mostly, I'd love to remove that ghastly white lighting from the tutorial. It makes it impossible to really see how your character looks without taking 15+ minutes to get through it.
To some degree, this may be possible, but due to the fact they use enlighten and a large amount of that is statically lit, no properties in there will be changeable, since we cannot generate new GI information.
I just thought of one more thing it could be... do you have the Digital Deluxe Edition?
Yes, I do.
Just a word of warning: everything in the update folder seems to act as a patch of sorts when saving the game. So if you don't have the flame armor activated, for ex, but play with the dlc files installed, the save will mark them anyway. If you decide to delete the dlc file later on (for whatever reason), you will not be able to load the game(dlc missing error). So I think spreading deluxe content to ppl that don't have access to it is unwise, or should come with a warning at least. (Not the case with Wynne, but for future reference)I just thought of one more thing it could be... do you have the Digital Deluxe Edition?

I think we have little missunderstanding of how patches works
I mean they can:
1) Not work at all, none of changes appear ingame.
2) Work only jammies, another part of textures just not loading (portraits e.g)
3) Work but have graphical glitches.
Need to clear it coz many ppl post "it not work" and it can be million reasons why. Write ur client, post ur patches so another ppl can check it and write what u have changed. Thats way we can collect more info.
Good point Gianni
Adela would you put one day your sexy eyebrowns on Nexus or on the modder forum ?
You talked about your haircuts only so I was just wondering... *shy*
I won't mind to have both XD (in the futur when toolkit allow it)
Anyway Mediafire and Megafile are a good sites for small files.
Their download speed are rather quick.
For big files you will probably need an account (I'm not an expert), imo.
Dropbox require an account but you can upgrade for free till 10+ GB (from 2GB). You just need to give link to people to register on it but it's a bit slow... but that's the only one I know for free account. Maybe others will know more about that matter.
I second this request to both wonderful modders - Adela and Shantia.
I'm dying to have these wonderful eyebrows on my character (black face or no, the eyebrows are definitely worth several messed up saves
). You ladies made a tremendous job of making female Quizzies look much prettier.
And since this is my first time here I just wanted to say big 'Thank you' for all the hard work the modders are doing here. 'Tis truly amazing what determined and talented people can accomplish.
Ok so tell me if this is correct. To create a patch, you..
Open DA Tools> Bundle Explorer > whatever.sb (whatever the file belongs to) > Load Preview (of file of same name you want to replace) > Import whatever.cas > Create MyPatch folder> place to appear as:
MyPatch
MyPatch/Package.mft
MyPatch/Data
MyPatch/Data/cas.cat
MyPatch/Data/cas_01.cas
MyPatch/Data/...
MyPatch/Data/Win32/...
> place MyPatch in ".../Dragon age Inquisition/Update/"> Profit?
Can the .cas file be anything?
You dont use DA Tools to create a patch, thats directly modifying the contents of your Data folder (Big no no). You need to use the my research tool for the time being.
Oh, I forgotten about that.
So I just download slimDX runtimes and the DA modding tool program still crashes while running on admin.
edit: installed slimdx .net 2.0 & slimdx .net 4.0 again. no luck.
@Adela - Nice video find, Gopher is fairly a large modder and promoter of mods. If he's keeping an eye on this project, then we will certainly have a good funnel of modders once we get to a certain stable point ;p
What's funny is some of the comments were still in doubt, and due to their "lack of knowledge" assumed the only thing done was texture replacement.
Thanks for uploading your eyebrows, cause I know I sure as heck will use em ;p

well for now only textures can be uploaded into the game, we will blow their minds later when we are able to upload meshes

Thank you very much and merry christmas everyone
hiding adela's post because I'm posting her file zipped ![]()
Ok, so i uploaded the files with the eyebrows and makeup , but be warned that sometimes if you try to go into the CC you might get an endless loading screen...
If that happens exit the game and then move the patch folder on to desktop temporarily.
Then start the game again, make your character without eyebrows or make up after you get to the prologue save your game, exit DA and then put the patch back in the update folder . Then start DA and load ur recently saved file from the prologue with your new character and it *should* show up
Also note that sometimes you might get a multicolored face or a black face in some scenes but when the camera switches to someone else and then back to you, it should get back to normal
Merry Christmas everyone
I'm posting this link zipped and hiding your post since it showed your RL name ![]()
@Adela: Next time, zip the package.mft and the data folder into a zip file and upload just the zip, with a neutral name so you don't have to worry about your name showing ![]()
