Like I said, I'll put a tutorial together to do that via EBX edits. As that'll be the smarter way than actually trying to swap the mesh asset.

That's a lot of recipes. O.o
It looks like you could unlock every schematic through Cheat Engine, and get them out of the way, but using it looks a bit too cumbersome for me, and I'd be worried about it ruining my save somehow.
I don't mind farming them from chests, I just wanted to know when I could stop farming them. Thanks!
My solution was just to unlock the top tier schematics. They're still improved by higher tier materials, but I don't have to wade through all the low tier crap to get to them for crafting. :-)

Mesh importing is still a whiles away, still far too many unknowns to be able to successfully do it, even unknown vertex types still remain, then its using a format that has all the required vertex types as necessary, how to represent them in 3dsmax, ie. 3 x tint colors per vertex + vertex color. Then need to see what assets need to be changed to reflect new mesh contents, so still lots of hurdles to overcome. exporting data is much easier than repimporting, because on export, u can usually ignore the unknown without too much loss of data, but on import, you can't, and the frostbite files love to contain all sorts of offsets, so you change the data in one location, you need to change all the offsets in others.
Hmm i didn't think they would use vertex colors .. considering.. that the maps do most of the tints / shading thing and they also have a tint/ mask map in the texture folder... also i think you mentioned before that they might have used marmoset? if so.. that doesn't really have much to do with vertex colors and more to do with maps.. although im just speaking out of my *own* personal experience with the tool BW might have done it differently .. but whenever i try to use marmoset to do renders i don't even bother with vertex colors i just make my own custom maps for tints and shaders by using quixsel tool witch takes care of that
as for what assets need to be changed.. i agree that can be tricky specially from a coding point of view and making it right and not make it for example be a shield instead of an armor or a hair

Sounds like exactly what i want to try, making say a Superior Skirmisher Hat look like a normal Warden Helmet (Without the Wings)

Vertex colors have a multitude of uses, they aren't just used for coloring. They can be used for vertex animation, tinting, shading, etc. Its just another data storage unit that is supported by most 3d packages.
Also they don't use marmoset, they use PBR (Physically Based Rendering). Which marmoset also uses, so do most current gen engines.

I just don't want to overpower my character too early. If there was a specific tutorial for using cheat engine to obtain schematics I might give it a try, but I've only seen tutorial for really simple things like editing gold.

@Renmiri - The elf? As in male elf? The main character of Chronicles is a "half" elf named Tanis ;p. In his group there's a high elf by the name of Laurana.
Here's Tanis with a beard (with I think Goldmoon)
Spoiler
Done by one of my favorite fantasy artists Larry Elmore ^^. The mage you are referring to is Raistlin Majere, probably one of the most powerful mages in the series ;p
Just for giggles my pen name "Silvist" is from the Silvanesti elves (who I believe in D&D are the Grey Elves), and also from the character Silvara..lover to Gilthanus..brother to Laurana ^^
Yes Tanis!!!
I think he was my first elf crush. either him or Legolas from the books ![]()
I remember Laurana, she was a healer, right ? Read them so long ago... I really loved that series, particularly the cataclysm stories.

@Renmiri - No, Laurana was the princess of the Qualinesti. She was a warrior if I recall. Tanis and her were lovers. Laurana is the one you see in the middle with a spear in this picture:
Just like you are a Solas fan, this is my domain of fandom lol. These were my bread and butter while I was growing up; among other books. The elven nations trilogy of the series was my fav, because it was about the foundation of elven society. Without dragon lance, Silvist would have never existed lol.
If I had enough talent I'd make all of the armors from Larry Elmore's artworks. Cause I love the detail and runes on them.

You don't really need to use Cheat engine if all you want to do is HEX editing you could use DAI tools, it lets you edit chunks

Oh now I remember. I was jealous of her because Tanis was my favorite at the time. Raistlin and his brother were real interesting characters too.
That series had awesome Elven lore ![]()

I'm doing a try on hair so I have something to go on when mesh swapping becomes available. But I have one question; does Lightwave have a sort of bone weight copy, like Blender does? So the .obj file becomes like the .msh file, just with another hairstyle?

Finally got a chance to recolor the jammies today. I tried to give them some sort of military flair, so fancy.
Looking great, Ellise ![]()

So I finally stopped myself from doing eyebrows and just call it done. Here's my alteration of Solas. Change eyebrow, cheeks, little blue coloring here and there. I'm a newbie at this so feel free to point out anything.

I didn't endorse most of the mods I dl'd, be it in Skyrim or some other game. Pretty sure I'll be endorsing the heck out of those mods from now on!

Yeah... I don't play alot of games and if I do it's usually indie games or skyrim. So I was all shocked when didn't realize how bad my computer was until this game where it was only managing low settings. So I had to buy a new GPU.
As for the tools, there are currently two. One for importing and one for exporting.
