Of all the hair in the entire game, on the head, brows, lashes, etc...  I think Varric's chest hair is the most realistic looking. Sad that they probably spent more time on that than anything, don't ya think?

Nah, gold is fine. There's just different mixes of gold. Like below, the concept gives the impression of 18k yellow gold. If the outfit was white, a lighter color could do ok such as a softer 14k gold or rose gold. 

 

 

edit: if silver, it'll make the outfit seem monochromatic.

I tend to like gold(ish) that is more orangey and warm toned, and it's also easier to match colour to it imo.

I gotta ask Adela, did you draw that concept art?  Cause that's really incredible! I really like the jewel in the center of the golden sword.  All in all it comes off very inquisitor'ish, which we need more of!

 

You should make a green variation of the robe with silver or platinum  Speaking of which I didn't even know green gold existed..that's so hot @_@

Yea i didnt draw that i can't draw to save my life , also that drawing is featured in the DAI art book but yea was planning on making a green one as well

Oooh, a blue robe with silver metal would make a good alternative color. And maybe a green with copper? So many possibilities, but I do love this armor. My male elf is jealous.

Speaking of it, I been doing a lot of tests with textures, and I feel like I got a face texture and a tattoo that I really like, so I'm keeping it and moving to another textures now.

While I'm now content with my character, I truly can't wait until we have hairstyles because no matter how hard you try the hair ruins it all :/

Well, Bioware has done it again, as in the Mark of the Assassin from DA2 where Hawke went to the party dresses as a man, my female Inquisitor has just gone to an elegant party dressed as a man ,,,, again 

 

The pajamas at Skyhold are bad, but this is even worse! Who would go to a party hosted by the Empress herself wearing that (and with that hairdo, by the way)? If my Inquisitor had been a dwarf, then I could have understood the bad taste in clothes, but no, she is a human and a Lady. She should know what is appropiate for each circumstance. And if she has forgotten, then Josephine should have reminded her, but no! Even Josephine is wearing that male uniform!   

 

The uniform looks great for men, actually Cullen and Dorian look very handsome in it. But there is no way a female would wear that ... not even in the worst nightmare!

 

And to make thing even worse,

then Morrigan appears with a perfect dress and a perfect hairdo ... come on! 

 

Morrigan, the one that didn't care for clothes and is perfectly dressed for the occasion! I felt like a truck driver at her side   

 

This really requires either that Bioware fixes it or tat they let us mod the game so we can fix this monstruosity (as I fixed the party dress for Mark of the Assassin).

eh. it makes sense. You come with a posse to represent an organization. one to represent its power, in this case a military. People wear military outfits to balls all the time. When you were at Vivienne's party, you wore whatever you want because you are only representing yourself. if wearing a uniform, you know who is associated with the organization.

Well, Rabbit, at Vivienne's ball I also thought it was odd that I was wearing armour and couldn't dress properly ... Lady Trevalyan should know how to behave in parties 

 

And I disagree that you can only represent the power of an organisation wearing trousers, you can represent them even bettetr with skirts
