Just got a video recording of a ton of bugs happening simultaneously in combat. Just wait until I upload the videos to Youtube and share them with you guys.

Combat gameplay is absolutely butchered. Even DA2 was better than this. I just had a boss completely ignore me during combat which made him stupidly easy to kill, had Varric shooting arrows in the wrong direction, pretty sure the hounds were glitching out and not attacking at some points.

Moves like charging bull and fade step will warp the user back to the place it was cast from. Unlike the PC players I didn't have an issue with the tactical cam on PS4 until today, because it's really starting to bother me that you can't strafe or change direction while using shield wall or whatever the two handed one is called. Actually I think that ability for two handed was equally as bad in DA2 (don't remember) but shield wall was never this horrible.

 It's nice that you are making this out to be the most epic DA game ever Bioware, but I mean we're not idiots. A great story, graphics and exploration don't make up for the broken gameplay and all the bugs.

 Maybe I should think about getting a refund, like the PC players, if these bugs aren't patched soon... I wanted this game to be good so badly that I just made the same mistake I did when I pre-ordered Destiny, except it's worse because DA is close to my heart and they're ruining it...  :(

Edit: OH WOW. So THAT'S how the PC players get refunds... their copy is digital so they can literally get a clean refund no questions asked. And because we bought the physical disk we are screwed. Wonderful.

An 8/10 and you're still very disappointed?

Man, you've got high standards.

Thing is, this is actually probably the buggiest game I have played, it is just that a lot of the bugs are things you might not notice easily.... I played through the whole game with no music for anything for example. There are also missing stalls in Skyhold that I would not know were supposed to be there if someone hadn't told me.

So far. Meaning the worse my experience gets, the worse the rating will be.

Yeah you know why? Because Origins was 10/10 and DA2 was 9/10 for me. I loved those games, and Inquisition is NOT doing them justice.

True... like the banter bug... I'm thinking the initial testers maybe didn't know we were supposed to have consistent banter.

 DA2 was 9/10 for me.

Well, if we didn't before, we now know for certain that this is a troll post.

Combat and character progression is the one thing I loved the most about DA, and it was volumes better than this. The story, companions and gameplay made up for the only excuse I've heard people say that makes sense: repetitive maps. Everything else was fine IMO. I don't play games to have virtual relationships with virtual RPG people, so if that's your cup of tea fine, but I don't see how Origins had deeper RPG interaction than DA2 did. Go play Skyrim or something.

it's cool to bash DA2, many of them don't even know why they don't like it... but i liked it myself, there were a handful of changes over DA:O but all workable and at the core it was still dragon age

now DA:I is a different matter entirely, it's like comparing dungeon siege 3 to 2, sacred 3 to 2... each are vastly different to their respective prequels

Really?.. Seems to me that on this board the really cool thing now is to say that actually it is really good and make out you are the only one who gets it!

i mean in general mate, the majority will spit on DA2 and easily call it the worst game of the decade simply for a few trivial cut corners... which in the long run don't matter at all and really don't get in the way of DA2 being a damn good game

but i have noticed that, gaming white knights are few and far but they really do bark

Yeah, AAA titles are usually judged on a scale of 8-10, so 8 actually means a 1. :)

Played a little more campaign today, and multiplayer all yesterday. Gotta say I'm liking it a little bit more, getting used to the glitchy combat with charging bull and fade step teleporting me back to where I cast them, and party members randomly warping across the map for no reason.

However I'm still having difficulty keeping my warriors from getting flanked because you can't strafe or turn with tactical cam. Also the bug that makes tactical cam switch off when I cycle through my characters for some reason really pisses me off.

I guarantee you if this game wasn't such a sandbox and multiplayer wasn't so addicting my rating of this game would approach 7/10 but I enjoyed playing as the Alchemist so much on multiplayer and had a fun time exploring on in the story I'm willing to give the game a chance again.

Back up to 9/10

too much filler/technical/coding issues in the single-player for me, and too much lag in the multiplayer to fully enjoy it... i think you're crazy to give it a 9/10, that implies near perfection, which DA:I is certainly nowhere near

My reaction to DA2 was "huh?" and DAO was "woa...". ME3 original ending at least got a "hmm..." so DA2 in my opinion is the worst.
DAI has been more like "Damn! Not again!" So I can't give it a fair rating yet. Too much rage due to bugs. Need to calm down first.

8/10 means a "very disappointed" for you? If it's a 6 do you throw yourself off a bridge? lol

For sheer number of bugs I think this beats Bethesda games... A lot or them are quite hard to notice though... Took me ages to realise combos were not working for example(they are quite important in combat) and had no music for most of the game.

For me though, it is the nature of some of the bugs that is very worrying. The voice-change one, seriously?... Combos not working makes combat a lot worse, and something like having no party banter makes the game dead... It is one of the things people love most about Bioware games!

Yeah, the voice change issue caused a major LOL in my case. I understand that there might be some bugs in a new game, but this one sets some standards. As for banters, I think I'm still struggling with this issue and the longer it takes the less I feel like doing anything about it, to be honest. I mean I don't want to be worried all the time  about whether they all chat often enough or not...And I've recently realized that interactions with companions are what keeps me playing this game, as a matter of fact.

Nevermind, I'm pissed off again because I can't even boot up the game and try to enjoy myself for 2 minutes without combat instantly bugging out.

Party members not doing what you tell them.

Unable to strafe/change angles in tactical cam.

Enemies don't recognize that you enter stealth if they have already targeted you.

The vast openness of the map and the variety of objects you can stand on are completely butchered by your party members automatically warping to one party member if they stray too far away, and upon entering tactical cam if I'm standing on an object like a rock it will teleport me back to the ground on the side of that rock.

I have noticed many of the issues people have mentioned. For me, simply as a game its a negligible 8 so far. I am having a lot of fun just wandering around and doing stuff, even while not understanding half the time why myself as "the inquisitor" has to do all the leg work even though I have a veritable ARMY at my back. I have issues with the AI, mages wandering off and getting aggro from an enemy before my tank has a chance to do something about it, said tank, and others truth be told just hanging around waiting for hostiles to target the player controlled party member before they actually DO anything. What they should be doing, even if myself am doing nothing, is attacking, or casting barrier or...something. Having to toggle stealth, then switch to my darn tank to make her run at a dragon all guns blazing is...not cool. And then we have the loot you get after fighting said dragon...why or why are some pieces of so called "rare" loot so low in level? I mentioned in another thread the level 17 Dragon I killed, and for a reward got some crappy under level 10 purple, that was less than HALF the gear the appropriate character was already using...surely that is not right. The game also has some terrible bugging out while in the main story. I recall this one scene where my inquisitor was chatting with Hawke about something to do with "the big evil" and he simply froze and did not move or do anything. Now its an annoyance when you have to skip through story conversation to progress the actual story, its APPALING when you have to turn your computer off, reboot things back up again...and PRAY things don't bug out again, or if they do that you can at the LEAST progress. That, despite the other stuff is the most upsetting thing about this game, and I believe they say a patch for that is on the way. [I hope they nail the issue]  As for the tactical cam, honestly I only really use it to check out enemies level and weaknesses...but I am playing on casual so I suppose I don't even need it.

8/10 isn't disappointing, unless you expected the end all be all of gaming

But yes, I do agree with some of your criticisms.
