So has the entire QA department been fired yet?

They're plainly not very good at their jobs, given that this game turned out to be such a hilarious mess. In most jobs, if you screw up this badly, you get fired. If Bioware lets them keep their jobs, it'll basically be rewarding failure.

Not that I'm complaining. It's actually quite entertaining playing such a disastrously flawed game. In our house, we've even developed a Dragon Age Inquisition drinking game: we all have to have a drink every time we find another laughable defect that any even half-competent QA should've found. The only problem is we're rapidly running out of booze...

Edit: Oh by the way - does Bioware have community managers or whatever their crappy little job is called? Because they don't seem to be up to much either, unless their job description is 'stay silent at all times and whatever you do don't communicate with the customers about their legitimate complaints about our incompetent product'

Hyperbolic much?

They only problem I've run into is a crashing start menu and the envy boss glitch.

Also, there's a thread for this and its pretty clear bugs haven't been a major issue for most going by the responses.

I wish there was a dislike button. I'd spam click it for OP's post.

My experience: ~40 hours in and not a single bug aside from a few graphical glitches that've resolved themselves almost immediately. No problem getting quests, completing quests, interacting with NPCs and objects, fast travel, War Table, combat, etc. etc. etc. In addition, zero freezes, CTDs, or DirectX errors. I don't even have the music or banter bug.

I was actually reflecting in-game last night that DA:I is how to do QA for an AAA title correctly. For such a huge, ambitious game, it is amazing that there aren't a huge amount of bugs and that the game runs quite well. And this is still launch version. THANK YOU BIOWARE. Ubisoft/Ubi Montreal should be ashamed of themselves for releasing the steaming mess that is AC:U. DA:I is an AAA title done right.

You can clearly read, so I'm assuming that you've somehow missed the hundreds of topics here and elsewhere about the vast number of serious problems with this game. The only other explanation would be that you believe that your own experience is characteristic of everyone else's, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. But that can't be true, because that would make you a fool, wouldn't it?

What an overly dramatic thread. Do you want an Oscar mailed to you or handed to you? Anybody with any gaming experience knows with an Open World game (or games with huge open like zones where things aren't completely linear) there are going to be a ton of bugs at release. I think it sucks, but it is what it is. Skyrim had them, almost every MMO has them, I can go on and on. If they delayed the game another 6 months or longer people would have been extremely disappointed. I myself on the PS4 have now put in 24 hours and I just got my very first bug, A Present for Bianca, which can be ignored anyway for now. Many of these things will be patched in time, so if you can't handle it why don't you just wait 3 months anytime after any game is released so you can deal with this earth shattering betrayal of every developer when they release their games.

Do you set out to be obnoxious or does it come natural? If you think this game was bad at launch you should try some of the other games I have played. You'd love them and their issues.

The only bugs I've encountered in 70+ hours so far are some items/textures occasionally popping in and out of existence and my male elf Inquisitor's arms looking like they're broken and lifeless.

Shut up people. Just because you're not having game breaking bugs doesn't mean you have the right to come on here, rub it in our faces AND accuse us of whining about it.

Just wait until i upload my gameplay to youtube. Would you be happy if a boss glitched out and stood in a corner motionless, or if Varric shot arrows into the empty space a couple meters away from his target? How about if you went into tactical cam and tried to move your character but it doesn't work?

Working fine on my machine. QA finds the glitches, it's up to another dept to fix them.
Hope the first patch and new driver updates sorts things out for people having problems.
Play something else until then?

I am not rubbing anything in anyone's face. I have had my issues with the game, but I am content to play as is till we get a patch, and if I run into a game breaking issue I will put the game down and let someone know, and go about my business and wait for a patch. Can always pick up Alpha Protocol again been a while since I played that or maybe a playthrough of the Yakuza series. No need to be obnoxious about things.

I've always wondered why Community Manager's exist in the video games industry in the first place, other than as a gateway to said industry. Most developers have at 'least one dedicated CM, yet they rarely interact with their community save to post the odd announcement.

They rarely engage on the forums, they hide during times such as these when the community actually needs them to the most...it's just mind-boggling.

Let's just sit and hope that the reason why there's been little communication is because they're all hard at work on a very large patch. I will be incredibly frustrated if the first patch we get is "Fix various z-fighting bugs", end of.

I see the usual (and amusing) collection of bovine stupidity is being rolled out in the replies:

"Well, uhm,,, dis ain't happnin' to me so much, so it ain't be happnin' to no-one no how"

"Dis is what done heppen in all a dem vidyagames, so quit yur speakin"

But my favorite is the Pollyanna approach:

"It's all just wonderfully wonderful, and you're a mean meanie if you say bad things about it!"

Has it not occurred to you that if you endorse the terrible quality of this product, then you're doing no more than encouraging the sloppiness that it represents? People who are demonstrably bad at their jobs should not keep those jobs. A brief look at the topics in this forum and EA answers should be all the evidence you need that Bioware has not been well-served by the people it hired to QA their game.

Here's a simple example for you (obviously one of many). At one stage in the game, the Inquisitor meets a blast from the past. It's a big moment. You can change the appearance of the person you meet. If you do so, there is a good chance that the voice you chose for your Inquisitor, and which you've been listening to for hours, changes to a completely different voice. This has happened to many people across all platforms. It's been reported numerous times since the game's release. How could this - one of the defining moments of the game - not have been noticed? Or was it noticed but let pass? Either way, it's a joke.

Or I just don't see a point in being nasty. When people are nasty to me I tend to be nasty and dismissive of them. Any valid point you had is lost when you start off by being nasty. Is it so hard to be polite, and still get your point across?  You attract more bees with honey than you do vinegar.

So far the only major bug I saw is the game freezing after using the respec amulet, which kinda sucks but is not game-breaking. I also fell through the world once, and the game teleported me back, so no biggie. Don,t assume your experience is everyone's, OP.

Albeit the voice bug should be fixed ASAP.

I haven't played the game (waiting for a new PC to come in), but considering this is Bioware's first foray into the next generation, with a new engine and with a game of this scope, I think they've done quite well from what I've heard.

Yes there are bugs and glitches. This is a part of games. Considering what recent games such as Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed Unity have gone through, at least the game is in a functional state for 99% of people, which means the QA can't be as horrible as some have described it. It's also part of a company's job to fix any issues they find, and Bioware has said they are working on it. I've seen a few employees, particularly Allan Schumacher (who is part of the QA bubble) speaking to users about their issues and asking them for save files and general commentary on the issue. And there are usually many more people scanning the forums and social networks for issues or complaints, don't underestimate that.

Bioware is not ignoring the issues. They've acknowledged them and are working on fixes. Just because 1000 people are having issues doesn't make it representative of the entire fanbase. And same goes the other way too, people who are having a good experience doesn't represent the entire fanbase and it doesn't mean the game is without bugs.

The most important thing is to just take it easy and wait. These things happen. Go take a break, play another game for a bit, and the game will be patched soon. Simple as that

I find it curious depending on the platform and their game hasn't locked up constantly.

And the MP omfg.  "you must eliminate all the enemies"  map completely barren of anything...."you must eliminate all the enemies"

Why not be nasty? I don't know you, or anyone else here. Nor do I care to. Why would I care whether you agree with me or not?  Much like dantares83 (the illiterate moron above), I'm just posting a rant on an anoymous forum. I have no expectation that it'll have any effect. This forum exists only because companies like Bioware want to push the illusion that they listen to people. They don't. It's a cynical corporate illusion of what they like to call 'community'. The socially inept and the lonely believe them, and hence believe that it matters what they and others type out here.

So thanks for your vapid advice, but you can keep it
