I recently unlocked my specializations and decided to go with Reaver since I usually have Cassandra in the party to tank as we didn't need another Templar/Champion to tank. I respecced my character and took all the skills from the Reaver tree (Ring of Pain, Devour, Dragon Rage and Rampage), alone with War Cry, Mighty Blow and Whirlwind.

My old build mainly using Vanguard and 2H Warrior skills was working great for off-tanking and delivering a lot of DPS, but I'm just not getting how to use these Reaver skills. I usually start by dropping the Ring of Pain to add some DPS and buff my Reaver skills, then use Dragon Rage a couple times to do some damage. However, by the time I start getting a little low on health and go to use Devour, I usually don't have the stamina for it. Should I be starting off with Dragon Rage instead, then drop the Ring of Pain when I'm ready to use Devour, before returning to Dragon Rage? Or something else entirely?

The key regular attacks, if stamina is dropping low I throw in some regular attacks to keep ROP up and running, and when I know I'm going to need a Devour, I throw in some regular attacks to build stamina.

Rinse / repeat. Once I figured this out I stopped playing ranged party members or Viv and really enjoyed my Reaver!

I wonder whether Clear a Path passive works with Dragon-Rage.

I second the post above, who suggests to mix in regular attacks. They restore 20-25 stamina per hit (not exactly sure how much).

Another tactic I've found is to get the charging bull upgrade that makes your next ability cost no stamina. Then your can charge, get some guard, and use devour practically for free
