The letter for Leliana it does make sense at least!

"I was not there for the death of Divine Justinia, but I know it will have hurt her terribly. While her wits and her skill are amazing, Leliana's greatest strength lies in her faith, and to have Justinia die strikes at her very core. I beg you, if she is faltering, help her find her way back into the light."

Erm... No. That only works for faithful Andrastians. There are other possibilities. The first time I saw that letter I just stared at it. That is an immense supposition on the writers' part. At least with the Inquisitor they actually gave us the option to be an atheist, Dalish, traditional dwarf, or what have you.

Just to give an example, I'm an atheist but I'm dating a guy who's currently in school to become a navy chaplain. I love him and support his decision, but I think it's absolutely stupid. You can be in a relationship despite someone's religion. If he were DAI!Leliana, I wouldn't push him to become nonreligious, but I also would not beg someone else to "save his faith" or whatever. In Origins, it's not possible to debate theology with Leliana without offending her or backing off yourself. A real person can hear "I disagree with you" without "Boyfriend disapproves -1" popping up.

And her greatest strength is faith? In my opinion, DAO!Leliana's greatest strength was being a competent bard.
