 I got the same problem. I purchased this about an hour ago. I successfully connected to the cerberus, and imported my me1 character. Got to the lazarus screen and obtained the 5 gamerpoints then its just gets stuck there. this is my third attempt with it loading of the dvd drive. I havent tried the hdd install yet but reading some of the posts above its like a 50/50 chance. Im a little slow due to a mild case of food poisoning but i really want to play this game. so im gonna try the hdd install.

Its things like this that are the reason I always install a new game to the hard drive before ever playing it.

Same issue here, Installed to HDD and imported ME1 character. It froze twice (yellow skull screen), I uninstalled it and am now reinstalling. Hope it works this time.

No luck so far. I tried four times. Uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache. I don't get it. I'll try a few more times but this is ridiculous. What is the problem?

Mine also froze on me just now. I had mine installed to the HDD. Have not felt like going through the intro again. Hopefully it works next time...

Okay, so I was able to make it past the freeze point. One way to tell if it is loading is that there will be heart rate, pulse, etc. on the left side of the screen, while it loads to select your character class. I wiped the cache and turned the system off and back on again and it worked. Thank God, because as cool as that intro was the first time (I had chills), it was driving me crazy the fifth time. Hopefully everyone else can get the game to work.

I noticed it will work if my hard drive isn't in. What does that mean?

Thanks for the tip about clearing the cache! That got mine to work on the 2nd attempt. (I'm just guessing it was that because it froze the first time, and then I cleared)

I also noticed it will work with a different gamertag, so my problem is somehow related to my gamertag.... (

I'm having the exact same issue as everyone here. However, I have also encountered this issue with other EA games that require an EA login (NHL series, FIFA series). People have circumvented this issue with the other EA games by storing their gamer tag on a memory card, and then playing the game on their Xbox without the HD.



I *think* the issue is related to a timeout error when your Xbox reads the gamertag on your HD and tries to connect to the EA server to check if you're a pirate. If you have a large HD or have played a gazillion games, you will time out. Anyhow, you can fix this by playing with a new gamertag just for this game, or buying a memory card. Or pray to God that the sweatshop monkeys at EA will churn out a patch. Btw, this issue was never solved in the NHL game for me, so I had to return it. And I'm still waiting for the EA patch to fix all my achievement bugs for Dragon Age, and that was released months ago!!!

I finally fixed it by going to my game history where my ME2 achievements were, and deleted them (I didn't have any, but it still said 0/50). I also cleared my cache and installed it to my hard drive. Hope that helps, it worked for me!

I first tried to play with an imported character, which resulted in an inability to save and I couldn't make it passed where you meet Joker again (game would get a "disk read error"). I then tried with a new character AND put that character and my profile on a memory card. Has been working with no problems so far at least... major let down though not being able to use a previous character. Hope to God they come out with a good fix. Dang EA...

I'm having the same problem, after importing my character. Any time I play longer then 2 minutes past the intro it freezes. I've tried it at least 20 times. I took it back too gamestop and got a new disc, same problem. Every other game I have works fine, this is only game I have trouble with. I hope they come out with a patch soon, otherwise I wasted my money.

When the game came I played it for 10 hour straight, then for another ten hours the next day and 4 hours the next in which beat the game. I go back thursday to play a different import and Ican't get past the cerberus network screen. It either freezes, or the screen goes black, or I get these blue lines and it freezes. I thought it was my xbox 360, so I played my games that are in my game library and they work fine I am going to try to play ME1 to see if it works. I been trying to find the solution since Thursday and no luck.

I even tried downloading it to the HD, no luck. I even clear the cashe multiple times, still no luck.

I have unplugged my wireless connector from my xbox and stop it from connecting to xbox live and it's gotten farther than it has before, so I am going to see if this works. Cross fingers.

Mine has randomly frozen during the starting sequence, at the menu screen, and at similar points that everyone else seems to have had the problem. However, the strange thing is, my xbox has randomly frozen in the same way when rebooting it (and it's doing the start up xbox animation), and at one point I even got the ring of death (even though my box was running normally?) but my xbox works fine with any other game, no problems

Yeah I am about to cry because mine keeps freezing. I don't know what the problem I tried leaving it alone for a couple of days and then trying it. It worked for a while, now its freezing up again.

My copy worked fine for my first character (I grew tired of the Vanguard never being able to use his abilities or shotguns by level 10). I'm trying to reroll a biotic and I've frozen twice at the Yellow Skull loading screen. I wonder why it's only now freezing... DLC maybe?

Strange, the game only crashed a the Yellow Skull when I failed to use any renegade conversation points.

My game is freezing at the same spot. I have beat the game once already, and I am trying to start a new game with my ME2 profile. New game +, or whatever. Keeps freezing, and I am annoyed. My Xbox is new, and the game is already installed to the HDD.

It just worked on my fourth try.

Please patch, Bioware.

I did not have this problem with my first play through, using a imported Shep. I also had the game loaded onto the HDD from the start.



But, when I started a new game, importing the same Shep from my completed ME2 game, it froze at the skull. I did not attempt to import that Shep again, as I accidentally deleted the file.



I have run into the freeze in the same spot using a new Shep. Hard reboot fixed the problem.



I just encountered a game freeze while defending a terminal that was decrypting data. I'm on disc 2, and haven't tried to replay the mission yet.
