When I restart, I went with Dalish Elf Mage. After the cutscene of you getting your hand fade portal magic, the loading screen puts me in that same area to explore. I explore enough and fell off the map and spawn back at the place with low health. wondering if this is some sort of glitch, bug, anything else, or just something my computer doing.

I am actually kinda surprised I haven't read more people having this reaction.
As best as I can describe, in the DA:I world of Thedas, there really is an "edge of the world". If you fall off it (or into very deep water), you instantly spawn near your death point with minimal life.
