I am not sure, but I was curious if you could tell me how to go South to get towards that area of the map. I seem to find no way to get down that way...I can only get to Highgrove Camp and nothing further south.

Nope. I found myself in the same situation. It's called a quarry, there should be one, right? WRONG.
According to the guide there is no quarry, only two logging stands.

Yeah, I had to ask for help here too, as my eyes could not find a way through the stupid cliffs.
