Am I the only one that finds her totally creepy? (sorry if this has already been a thread.)

I mean, man, at the Pearl, and trying to do the 3-way with Isabella and Zev.....Whoa! Calm down there girl!

And her jealousy rampage when she wants you to pick her over Morrigan? (or heck, when you;re playing fem and romaning her and zev/alistair, but the one with Morrigan as a male is MUCH worse)

And then her after bed talk? What's that about eyelashes and butterflies in jars? I'm spooked! Heck, I was spooked waking up and having her staring at me!!!!!

I'm almost afraid to dump her now......

Alistair was right, she IS an archdemon short of a full blight.....

I'm afraid to go back to camp and sleep. I half expect an arrow in  the back......Image IPB

If she creeps you out that much, select the option to ask her to leave...

Seriously though, she's a bit..obsessive at times which is no stranger than any woman I've ever dated (and eventually married. No offense to you women)

She's adorable, not creepy at all. Not sure why wanting to do a 3-way/4-way is creepy, but to eache their own I guess.

She seems to me to act like a typical female very much in love, albeit a lil bit naive about it, but still not really strange.

Eh.. Alistair never said that, that was an option that PC can choose to say. Then Alistair responds with the hilarious 'Princess Stabbity' quote.

Ooh, don't hate Lel!

I just really don't like the character's personality.
I love her backstory; it's got such great potential for a badass character.
But...I dunno what it is about her.
I can't stand her Image IPB

But for some reason I can't get her to leave.
I must have alllll the characters! Image IPB

To me, all the characters start out annoying, and suddenly become likeable. They make a really awkward transition from aloof to friendly.

Leliana goes from psycho to adorable.

Morrigan goes from ****y to sultry.

Alistair goes from whiny to witty.

And Zevran goes from elf to...uh...more...elfier. His ears get pointier, I guess.

Mmm...well, the only part that really creeped me out was the bit that came after sleeping with her (I promptly reloaded and dumped her like Morrigan asked me to after that). The whole vision thing doesn't really bother me though, because, well, this is a fantasy RPG. That's just par for the course, really.

Personally I like her. I think Leliana, Morrigan, Alistair, and, to a lesser extent, Sten are interesting. The rest I think are kind of boring, except for Wynne, who I want to feed to the archdemon.

You obviously haven't seen Wynne as an Arcane Warrior in full plate. :wizard:

But seriously, Leliana only manages to come off as half-psycho. That just won't do when the Warden, Morrigan, Sten, and Shale are walking around and basically being an entire party of HK-47s.

Yeah, she does have a psycho edge - but what makes it weird (ordinary psycho in a game is fine by me) is the combination of naivete/Chantry crap/psycho stalker. I like her story, she looks ok, she's an interesting character on paper - ingame she's just a tad creepy.

But I only find her a 'tad' creepy, you know, a slight edge that makes her seem almost normal, but not quite. But if she ever makes a meal with fava beans or brings out a bottle of chianti I'm running for the hills.

I didn't find Leliana creepy at all. If anything, she was a bit bland, IMO.

The only thing creepy about Leliana is her shoe obsession.

The shoes thing is actually one of my favorite bits of party banter. I think I was laughing too hard during it and when actually learning about it from her back at camp to care. She's the resident giggle girly-girl of the party, anyways - she's allowed a shoe obsession.

I keep reading about people who find the "after bed" talk creepy and I still find it hard to understand. To me it's not a bit creepy at all. She is just so happy that she's feeling all giddy. Most of what she says in that scene is just whimsical. Didn't anyone notice before that she makes silly jokes at times when she is in a good mood?

Now I can understand anyone who isn't attracted to her personality. It's all a matter of personal taste. But if you find the "after bed" scene creepy, then I just don't think you understand her personality at all. What's so creepy about a pretty girl who is really, really happy after having spent the night with you, making a few jokes about it?

I don't think it's the pillow talk (it was more loving than the initial experience with Morrigan) so much as it's the fact that she's watching you sleep.

While fully dressed in armor.

After you've already extensively discussed her former life as a Bard and her modus operandi of sleeping with men...then killing them.

As she learned from her lover, a rather twisted Orlesian woman.

Is no one here married or a parent ffs?

I've watched my wife sleep, my daughter sleep, and my wife as done the same. How the hell is this creepy it's just one of the things that people in love or who love someone do from time to time.

It's not like she broke out the popcorn and was sitting there for hours, she got up and got dressed for all you know she had been there all of a minute when you awoke

I case you hadn't noticed you are sleeping in full armour as well! You can always strip her before initiating the conversation that leads to your night of passion so that she will still be in her underwear come morning.

I agree wholeheartedly. I've done it too and I've woken up to find my wife watching me. It was always a warm glowy feeling.

I just got done listening to my sister complain about how our grandmother - who lived with her until recently - used to sit either just outside my sister's bedroom or actually inside it (in her wheelchair) just watching my sister sleep. My sister was totally weirded out.

I suppose different things feel creepy to different people. My sister finds it a total invasion of her privacy at a time when she's totally vulnerable.

It wasn't that that I found creepy though. It's the whole 'package' that is Leliana, as it were. Assassin and bard, she's seduced people and killed them, she has visions (delusional or real, creepy in either case), she's riddled with Chantry-speak and 'Maker this' and 'Maker that' while at the same time slaughtering everything in sight. Girly giggles and ridiculous shoes one moment - hardened killer the next. I find the ease with which she slips between all these states - a little disturbing. If she were a real person, I'd have serious doubts about her mental health, her stability, and even her sanity.

Her surface is cute and fluffy bunnies, but underneath ...

Edit: Oh, and if you tell me that if you met someone like that irl you'd be fine with having them as a lover - you're lying, or you're extremely weird.

There's nothing wrong with watching dear ones sleep. I did it with my children, and often. Also, Alistair watches the PC sleep as well. Don't know about Morrigan, I've never played a male PC, but Zevran doesn't.

As for the 'shoe' business, I am female and I own about 7 pairs of shoes altogether, ranging from utility to boots to heels, and I don't feel the need to get any more. What I have will do, thank you very much.
My purses are waist-strap, a back-pack, and one tiny evening purse. That's it. Don't want more, don't need more. If they made female clothing with more pockets, I'd be a happy camper. So careful with the generalizations, ok? :P

Leliana is adorable.  I like her, but I have yet to figure out completely how to make her stay on 'friendly' with my PC. I've managed it so far in my latest play-through, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Leliana won't suddenly tell my PC that she's in love with her. I'll also never get the nug again. Did it once, and regretted it the rest of the play-through. Maybe I'll find a mod that'll shut the bunny-pig up.

Lol, yeah. Suddenly the dog's constant barking didn't bother me at all anymore. Maybe there'll be a mod involving Oghren and Shmooples.... Yeah, I can be mean too. Those nug-noises made me cringe.

I found the best way to 'avoid' a romance with Leliana is to let it go far enough to get the 'talk about us' option then break up on the grounds of grey warden duty. No loss of approval and we stay friends.
