Sten killed an entire family because he lost his sword(OK in Qunari culture it's like loosing your being, I give you that).
Oghren always seems to enjoy to watch other people kissing and freaks out Wynn in some of the party banter (the one about the razor anyone
Shale got her "bird thing " going on, and she definitly watch you sleeping evey nights, while trying not to crush your skull out of bordom.
Morrigan is Morrigan, enough say.
Zevran is heavily into SM
So, all in all Leliana fits quite nicely with your bunch of misfits.
To Susanstohelit and Sabriana : lets stuff and roast that damn nug and have Oghren open a bottle of something, now that would be a party to remember
PS : Susan, with this name you shouldn't be too quick to call other people creepy, grandaughter of Death, psycho teacher, albeit a very good one, how creepy is that

The problem with Leliana, I think, is that she seems 'too nice' for her background, for what we know about her, and for her behaviour as well. Her behaviour and her speech don't 'jibe'. Therefore, perhaps it's all a mask, not real, a fake to lull us - as she did in the past with her victims. She reminds me of a certain doll - named Chucky.

As for the 'shoe' business, I am female and I own about 7 pairs of shoes altogether, ranging from utility to boots to heels, and I don't feel the need to get any more. What I have will do, thank you very much.
My purses are waist-strap, a back-pack, and one tiny evening purse. That's it. Don't want more, don't need more. If they made female clothing with more pockets, I'd be a happy camper. So careful with the generalizations, ok?

I just got done listening to my sister complain about how our grandmother - who lived with her until recently - used to sit either just outside my sister's bedroom or actually inside it (in her wheelchair) just watching my sister sleep. My sister was totally weirded out.
I suppose different things feel creepy to different people. My sister finds it a total invasion of her privacy at a time when she's totally vulnerable.
It wasn't that that I found creepy though. It's the whole 'package' that is Leliana, as it were. Assassin and bard, she's seduced people and killed them, she has visions (delusional or real, creepy in either case), she's riddled with Chantry-speak and 'Maker this' and 'Maker that' while at the same time slaughtering everything in sight. Girly giggles and ridiculous shoes one moment - hardened killer the next. I find the ease with which she slips between all these states - a little disturbing. If she were a real person, I'd have serious doubts about her mental health, her stability, and even her sanity.
Her surface is cute and fluffy bunnies, but underneath ...
Edit: Oh, and if you tell me that if you met someone like that irl you'd be fine with having them as a lover - you're lying, or you're extremely weird.
lol Nope a female like that would scare me to death in real life, I'm not gonna lie, but I'm not the drinker of darkspawn blood and a mighty grey warden either

In all cases where she actually can decide for herself, she wants her potential victims spared (Loghain's soldiers in Lothering, her assassing in the forest...). After killing Marjolaine she admits she enjoys the killings but is actually very worried about it. I would date her, as long as what she was telling was the truth. I guess I'm weirdSusanStoHelit wrote...

I wouldn't say she's creepy at all. She sure is crazy, but as long as it's cute-crazy and not dangerous-crazy, I don't see any harm in it.

Susan may be death's granddaughter, and a teacher, but she isn't 'psycho'. She's perfectly sane. I don't much like Sten or Morrigan - but they're perfectly sane, just not very nice. Wynne is fine, if preachy and teachy. Zevran isn't creepy, his 'tastes' are overt and not hidden. Oghren is just a foul-mouthed, dirty-minded, drunk.
The problem with Leliana, I think, is that she seems 'too nice' for her background, for what we know about her, and for her behaviour as well. Her behaviour and her speech don't 'jibe'. Oh, I think Susan is as sane as the next man (well mind you the next man could be Foul' Ol' Ron or the Duck man), but like all of us she does have her little ways (anger issue, maybe a certain taste for violence), but she is a great character one of my favourite with Death, Vimes and Granny(now that's a bunch of weirdo if I ever saw one)
I don't find Leliana too creepy, but I do find that the Bard come Chantry follower thing could lead us to some nice strange and dark places. To me she 's having an identity crisis, as illustrate in the dialogue after the Marjolaine business.

Heh, and chains. Plus there's this party banter if you get this conversation after Shale's personal quest.
Shale: I have noticed that the painted elf seeks the attention of the Grey Warden.
Zevran: He certainly does.
Shale: (Snorts) I watched many such couplings during the time I spent immobile in Honnleath. Or should I say I was forced to watch. You do know that this usually ends in reproduction. I have seen it many times, indeed.
Zevran: Oh? That is not such a terrible thought. Creating a new life can be a great deal of fun.
Shale: Not always. When a golem is created, it involves an agony one would not believe. How fun is that, painted elf?
Zevran: Oh, I don't know. It could be plenty of fun, if done right.
Shale: Now the painted elf jests with me.
Zevran: (Chuckles) You think so, do you? Have it your way.
Now, how serious he is during this banter is up for debate.

I think for me the 'creepy' factor with Leliana is the expressions they use to animate her face when she's mad.
Morrigan just looks pissy, while Leliana kind of looks crazy 'stabity-stab' mad.
Alisatir looks pissed off and hurt, and Zevran just looks hurt.
Plus, she just seems so nice and innocent. Which really doesn't go along with her background. She's more of a two-faced assasian than Zevran is. Zevran is what he is, and makes no bones about it, or tries to hide it. Leliana on the other hand, as part of being a bard, has to use more subelty to get her mark, so she's a MUCH better actor than Zevran, and that would lead me to trust her less. So I'm kind of figuring she's got a split personality......
Unless her time in the Chantry helped to 'cure' her duality.....

Also there's the completely calm way everyone talks to you even when covered in fresh blood that makes me think all of Thedas may be a bit mental.
Especially right after a battle, you're all splattered in blood, and you accidentally click on Alisatir, (he seems to get in the way a lot) and you get the line "I don't know if this is an appropriate time or not..."
And the first playthrough, I thought "Appropriate time for what?" and he launches into his "Well, this is how I feel about you speech, do you have feelings for me?" or his "Pick one of us" speeches
And I wish there had been a line responding "How could I not have feelings for a man with genlock innards smeared all over his face. Dang it, yes, this is NOT an appropriate time for this sort of discussion. Get back to me when we're in camp! Ugh!"
Or an option to grab him by the shoulders and shake him well yelling "Let me take a bath first!!!"

Are you serious? Why didn't I think of this?! I have been whining to myself that my dwarven girl and Leliana, after spending a night of passion, wakes up fully armoured. You don't get dressed before falling asleep after a night like that!Chas1024 wrote...
I case you hadn't noticed you are sleeping in full armour as well! You can always strip her before initiating the conversation that leads to your night of passion so that she will still be in her underwear come morning.
And no, Leliana is sweet and in love and a tad bit demanding, but I personally love it. Of course she demands that you need to be true to her and not make promises you can't/wont keep. Most women demand that. I'm not one of those girly women but I would demand that too. No she is fun! End of story.
Morrigan: Stop looking at my breasts like that. 'Tis most disturbing.
Leliana: You don't think so? And if it's cut low in the front we must put your hair up to show off that lovely neck.
Morrigan: You are insane. I would sooner let Alistair dress me.
Leliana: It'll be fun, I promise! We'll get some shoes too! Ah, shoes! We could go shopping together!

And her jealousy rampage when she wants you to pick her over Morrigan? (or heck, when you;re playing fem and romaning her and zev/alistair, but the one with Morrigan as a male is MUCH worse)
Morrigan gets pretty jealous too. Pretty hypocritical actually given her speech about no desire to infringe on your independence.

Reasons being: Loghain is creepy, Prince Bhelen and his blood campaign is creepy, but Leliana is a different case. I do think that she is crazy, but must people like SUsan be judgemental on THAT aspect of her character? Her heart's in the right place anyway, and we all have our own eccentricies. I can sort of understand where people are coming rom, when they express their confusion at how she can switch between girlish bard and powerful assasin. Still if she couldn't she wouldn't be in the party, plus it adds dimension and she does justify herself for it.
When I first saw her in the trailer, I was under the impression that she killed those soldiers single-handedly in front of us, and when she exclaimed about her vision, I had my doubts. But when it came down to her personality, it changed everything. At first I was attempting to flirt with Morrigan, but suddenly I found myself in a relationship with Leliana, and I actually enjoyed her more than Morrigan. Perhaps it's just me liking the perks of her character that I find sweet, cute and adorable, but her eccentricies are worth putting up with, in comparison to people like Sten, Morrigan, and sometimes the worst of Zevran's personality.

Priceless. Absolutely priceless. I was about to play a little, but I usually click on your posts to read them, Creature. Thank you for giving me a good, heartfelt laugh.
My cat doesn't approve though. He's giving me the worried look now, while backing away, slowly.
