so i was just wondering....when we gonna get a AD&D-like Oriental Adventures add-on/dlc/expansion for DA?

 

would love for some mystic samurai warrior or wu-fan-ish action.

FYI...i live in Hawaii....i have a BA in Asian Studies.           but that AD&D Oriental Adventures was pretty awesome...got me interested in History.

There is no Orient in Thedas, so no, you can't have oriental adventures.

Personally though, I'd love to see what they had planned for DA2 (Was it the Exalted March?) before it got scrapped.

Yup I'm with the people voting no on this.

 

While I appreciate asian influence is a big draw for certain sectors of the market, its not a huge amount of people, certainly not enough to offset the people who will be P'ed off that somebody got some eastern in their western rpg. 

 

What this game could do with is some unique cultures added into the game, the current main races taste a little too Tolkien for my liking however hats off with the Qunari, I find that to be some exceptional work.

There's still plenty left to explore in Thedas. I want to do that before we start going elsewhere.

 

For example, could we get some DLC set in Nevarra? It's the last of the southern nations that we really haven't set foot in at all. Laidlaw mentioned something about DA4 heading northwards, so let's at least round out the south before doing that.

If there is a continent with a asian theme, then I would prefer to explore these zones in DA4/DA5/DA6 etc There would be more lore, zones, enemies, since its new and all. I dont think making it a expansion or a dlc would be the best idea.

 

Personaly I think the next game will be in either Tevinter, Free Marches or Antiva.
