You sound like there is so much customization options...like in Guild Wars 2 or at least Diablo 3... ![]()
I've tried almost all or even all options with my Qunari (because we can use only customizable armor)...and descent looking ones is Trench Coat(full set) and Battlemaster(full set) with other pieces they look pretty bad though and it's a problem to choose a proper color, because of stats which I don't need and because there is some parts like pants\shirt which can't be dyed even with Fade-touched mats:
1) Trench Coat:
2) Battlemaster armor
Trench coat looks fine at front, but I don't really like how it looks from behind...overall Trench Coat is too bulky in my opinion, too manly on a female Qunari, shoulders are too wide as well as trench coat itself...it should look more womanly, more elegant, I think...I've tried this shoulders with Battlemaster armor and it looks bad, mostly because Battlemaster armor looks small and shoulder part, as I've already said, is too big...
unfortunately, there is only a few armor\robes available to us (maps are big and there should be some sort of stimulus to explore every corner and armor\weapon diversity is a good stimulus) and really poor customization system. We even didn't have a descent Dye system, didn't have Transmutation options and not even separate boots\gloves any more, only a few full sets like Grey Warden or customizable 'inquisitor style' armor(tier 1-2 ugly, tier 3 - descent), not to mention, that customizable t3 light(battlemage), medium(prowler) and heavy(battlemaster) armor looks the same as well as trench coat, just with a little difference...all this would be fine if only it was possible to mod this game like DA:O or even TES....so I doubt, that you'll see here some sort of great 'fashion show', everyone will look almost the same.

All is crafted (battlemaster armor schematics - hissing wastes), except for Trench coat shoulders...I've used them just for preview, they are from Heavy armor which you can get after killing a Dragon (Hinerval) at Emprise Du Lion.

And everyone really does look the same =) Why can't we wear those Tevinter outfits, or perhaps Hawke's armor all over again? They are in the game, and Bioware did say that "if you see it, you can wear it" in their lead up to the game...

Something must have changed I felt jealous the whole game I couldnt wear one of the acutal robes on the NPC mages.

My Inquisitor wearing a full battlemaster mail set with the helm of the inquisitor (also from breach trailer):
you know there is a option to take a screenshot directly from PS4 and upload by Twitter or Facebook? ![]()

I'm honestly disappointed with the armor variety. The weapon variety has me smiling ear-to-ear, but those armors... ugh. They don't even feel that different between classes. What the hell happened?
Maybe by the time I can upgrade my PC to run the game [currently on console] the modding community will have blossomed into all its usual glory. Though would be nice if Bioware released a DLC with some better tier 3 schematics or something. I'd buy it in a heartbeat! ![]()
I won't be posting my inquisitor pic. I'm playing on xbox 360... and well, I'm just doing you all a favor by not posting it! XD

I'm using the Rogue Prowler variant for my mage since the pants and boots look better for women than the mage and warrior options.
Do you happen to remember where you got the schematic for this coat? I have a version of it I picked up as a drop somewhere, in a light tan colour, and I love it (those big buttons on the shoulders!) but I've outlevelled it and I can't find a replacement I like as well. The long trenchcoat with the tassely things at the bottom is ok, but it looks like it would catch on everything (and my buttons!) I'm a rogue, but I have snoufleur all ready to go if necessary.

You can get both the battlemage for mages and battlemaster for warriors version in the Hissing Wastes. It is sold by the dog vendor which all the way down a canyon. Both class versions look exactly the same.

Ugh, I envy those who have already found the armour and helm from the trailers. ![]()
At least I found 2 of those cool Hats of the Inquisitor though. ![]()

If you want to farm tier-3 schematics such as the armor that I have (Sturdy Battlemaster mail) go to cradle of sulevin:
The chances of getting 1-2 good schematics in 1 run (which would take only 3 or so minutes) are high.

Thanks. I shall try this when I finally get around to unlocking the Emerald Graves.
By the way, I am playing as a mage, though I imagine that should not make too much of a difference.

Actually, it's triggered by finding a dead corpse in Emprise du Lion. It was a real pain and I hated that I had to jump to an area like that just so I could be satisfied with my Inquisitor's looks. Oh well.

They don't look the same. The Battlemage outfit has a different shirt and different pants, the Sturdy versions apparently share the same model.
The armor I am using is Prolwer, not Battlemaster/mage and it has different boots and pants.

Yeah, right, completely different, sure...
...you know how it works in this case? 3d artist creates one armor model in 3ds max + ZBrush, then he start to cut\remove some pieces from it, that's how we get Tier 1-3 armor which looks the same with just a small difference like pants...but pants\shirt model is the same too just a bit different texture...shirt and pants actually is from our glorious Pajama...battlemaster and Battlemage have exactly the same shirts, but Prowler have Chainmail instead of Shirt, which is weird btw, because Heavy armor should have chainmail instead of pajamas, not Medium.
In AAA games Tier 1-3 use a COMPLETELY different models, plus such games have a wide variety of other different armor models to wear..it really looks like Bioware released DA:I earlier than they planned, that's why they used T3 armor for T1-2 for each class, but if not...well, they should be ashamed.

Thanks professor. I didn't ask how they were made and I don't care, I was responding to a post that said the armors were identical. They arn't. I get that you have an axe to grind and need to post about it in every single thread on the subject, but don't insinuate words into my post that I never said.
