What are things that you hear other people complain about that don't bother you at all or that you really disagree with?

 

Here are mine:

 

*No Warden  

      For me DAO was the story about the Blight and when that was over, so were my Wardens. Some survived the game, some                   didn't but I'm happy to move on.

 

*No swooping from Alistair

      Okay, so maybe I'm just someone who doesn't get excited about nostalgic things . Thing is, it was hardly a catchphrase, just a           thing a once said. I'd prefer it if they just add a fresh layer to his personality

 

*Actually I'm okay with all the missing companions from earlier installments... Except Anders, because I still want to punch Anders....

Lack of healing, it madethe game in my opinion much better. Not just slashing my way to the end.

 

The most what I really disliked was thatyou couldn't really be evil in the game... I really wanted to be a god....

 

And an option to tell the chantry that I wasn't sent by The Maker, but by some Elven god...

Bioware basically was bullied into bringing hawke back, what more do you want?

 

 

Romance options:

 

Choose one or none, just because you cant nail cassandra with another chick or cullen with another dude doesnt mean the world is ending

 

 

Crappy PC interface:

 

Should have got a console, finally a chance for console players to strike at the pc elitists.... take that

 

 

Too many fetch quests:

 

That's all rpgs have, why do you expect any different

 

 

Terrible Ending/Story:

 

Im not even getting into this, my head already hurts from the thought of trying to argue against this.

 

 

Players not using mics in MP:

 

Played my first MP match without a mic, and so did my other 3 teammates who id never met before....  didnt even die, had no issues what so ever.

 

 

List could go on and on, but those are the main ones

How is the UI any better on console? It's just **** on pc because the whole ui is developed with consoles as priority. This is by no means the first or last PC game which UI has been ruined thanks to consoles.

I agree with what you say on the warden... never understood why people are so eager to see him/her again. Origins is one of my favourite games ever, but i am happy to let my warden stay retired.

Personally, I kind of loathe the whole tie to the Grey Warden order, and am glad that the DA series did not revisit this role in the subsequent titles, and frankly, hope that we never do again. The last thing I need are more blood-filled chalices and Joining rituals and dealing with the stupid Calling and forging through the blighted Deep Roads all the time. Man, I really hope the Warden pulls a Fiona and dodges that tainted ritualistic bullet. The Warden I played in DA:O wanted nothing to do with the Wardens, but had no choice in the matter, and would get the hell out of dodge at the first opportunity.

I loathe people who wants to bring back the warden and I've started to hate my wardens now thanks to all the complaining.Now I just want bioware to kill of the warden so we could have an end to it all. And I used to love my warden...

People tend to hate her because she's opinionated, manipulative, ambitious, doesn't worship at the altar of all things Inquisitor, and is a fairly hardcore supporter of the Old Guard. I think all of those things make her an interesting character. Also she's got great voice acting.

The people that can't or refuse to see the argument against the mage rebellion as being valid and the labeling of everyone in Thedas that doesn't support it as idiots.

And you completely mistook this series for Baldur's Gate? And you wanted to bring back the thing that's the reason we never got a sequel to the second game? That's beautiful. Do we have a facepalm emote on this forum? I feel the overwhelming need for a facepalm.

Anything romance-related. In particular, "why isn't everyone bisexual because I have the Maker-given right to bone everything that movies" and "my strong sense of entitlement is not happy that there clearly aren't enough options for me". But then again, I don't do romances and I don't view this game as Dragon Age: The Dating Simulator. In my opinion, romances are just another bonus Bioware is kind enough to include in the game.

 

Hair--I love, love, love, love, love my inquisitors' hairstyle. It was a love at first sight.

The facial hair options are godawful though. I absolutely agree with that.

(Almost) no healing.

 

I find this works perfectly as intended. It motivates me to do better in ALL fights, while the enemy redesign makes for easier standard fights so you can get through them without taking damage if you play well.

 

I dislike it in story missions though, because there I have no way out should I screw up.

Oh God, how didnt' anyone bring up romances before this guy? This, a billion times, this. The romances aren't even good! How are people so obsessed with them?!

The Warden has no place in this story, I'm sure there could be a compelling follow up Warden story made but this isnt it and I'm good with the Warden not being present. Also, the game mechanics would have to be totally screwed over to make it happen unless you start with an amnesiac Warden who forgot all his skills. No. The Warden has had 2 go's already if you count Awakening and that's fine with me.

 

The only person I'd have chosen to bring back, besides Varric, would have been Merrill because the voice actor for Merrill is awesome and second, because I'd love to see how Merrill matured and changed in a new world.

 

As for all the DAO loving, you still get folks bringing up Baldurs Gate so...yeah, in 10 years time they'll probably be bitching that the new DA is dumbed down and how much better DA:I was.

Practically any complaints about the PC UI.

Any complaint about PC controls, outside of tactical view.

Exactly how big of a problem the tactical view controls are on PC.

The quality of the sidequests (hint: I like them.)

That the game isn't enough like Baldur's Gate (because apparently that's the only good RPG ever made, to some people)
