Remember that age of alien species is different than ours. For example Grunts age in the universe section is 22 but in the blur trailer it is 300. Obviously they have transferred the actual age into human years. So 50 to us might be like 20 to salarians, or 22 to us could be 300 to krogan. So how bout you calm down and think before you go around slinging insults.

You list Mordin's age as 50 on your website even though the Codex says that Salarians have a 40 year lifespan.

Even if Mordin is some super cenetarian Salarian equivalent who has managed to survive well past his species' lifespan, you'd think he'd be a bit more venerable, wouldn't you?

I canceled my preorder, thanks for that spoiler.

Hey screw you guys, it was Bioware who said a Salarian over the age of 40 is a rarity.

It doesn't strike you as just a bit odd that we have a 50 year old Salarian who still seems perfectly healthy and capable of kicking ass?

Just like a 45+ year old soldier kicking a special forces' soldiers ass in a fight after the 45+ year old's helicopter crashed with him in it? (Special forces guy got a little banged up, too, but not that bad.)

...Yeah.

He's also a scientist. Who's to say he hasn't somehow lengthened his lifespan in some mysterious way. And let's be honest. He is definitely the oldest looking salarian you have ever seen.

You mean the mad scientist who's known for mucking around genetics? No, it doesn't strike me so odd. Posted Image

I'm actually wondering if they got Mordin and Zaeed's ages mixed up. I understand that Zaeed's been through quite a bit, but he still looks like a bag of dried-out buttskin, and somewhat older than fourty.

Well, he is somewhat renowned as an unscrupulous genetecist, I'd assume he's cloning himself and using the clones for body parts (saw that on a TV show years ago, hm... can't remember the name now, but the idea sounded awesome at the time). Either that or he's using soem other nefarious scheme to prolong his life.

Anyway, they say Salarians over 40 are a rarity, not that they don't exist. getting struck by lightning is a rarity, yet tell that the the average of 62 people killed by lighting strikes in the US every year. Mordin just got lucky, that's all.

For one, the average human lifespan is 70-80 years, many of us end up living well past that. I'm sure the same **** probably happens with aliens as well.

And two, who cares anyway?

Avg life expectancy for a human being ranges from 70-80, but not everyone pops their clogs after they've passed the avg life expectancy.

I know a few vets from Korea and Vietnam. They're seriously bad motherf**kers, and they're old. And they're funny as Hell.

And who is to say what an elderly salarian would look and act like? The house fly has an average lifespan of 24 hours but you don't see rickety geriatric 20 hour old flies hobbling about on canes, now do you?

Toddlers can't take a bullet either. I don't think there is an ideal age-to-bullet-resistance ratio.
