I'm actually wondering if they got Mordin and Zaeed's ages mixed up. I understand that Zaeed's been through quite a bit, but he still looks like a bag of dried-out buttskin, and somewhat older than fourty.

this. zaeed is wrinkled, gray haired, and scarred, hes definately not forty. mordins gotta be forty and zaeeds fifty. BW made a mistake, OP shouldnt have called them morons for it, but you guys dont need to be flaming him hardcore and trying to come up with all these silly excuses. lets all just relax

For Salarians, 50 is the new 30.

"Unfortunately, their metabolic speed leaves them with a relatively short lifespan; salarians over the age of 40 are a rarity." - From the wiki.

Besides what do you care, I thought you weren't getting the game since it was "ruined" for you?

Because a minor error (that is arguably explainable) in continuity brings rage to even mild mannered Borschbeet.

Is this how you thank BioWare for feeding our appetite for great games, by calling them morons? Unacceptable.

Anyone who thinks Salarians can't age over 40 is a homosexual.

You're not a homosexual, are you Borschtbeet?

You list Mordin's age as 50 on your website even though the Codex says that Salarians have a 40 year lifespan.

Even if Mordin is some super cenetarian Salarian equivalent who has managed to survive well past his species' lifespan, you'd think he'd be a bit more venerable, wouldn't you?

look at us now, our average life span is 80, yet in mass effect shepard does state that a average life is now 150. it can improve.

and hes a scientist! he probably took some great chems to make his lifespan last longer!

No need to use examples of advances in science or differences in aging for an alien species to prove the OP wrong. His utter lack of understanding of averages is all that needed to be pointed out.

I found a miracle the OP didn't started babbling about his "healthy" lifestyle yet...

Probably staring at the mirror, looking at the only person that can cope with him in real life.

Hey screw you guys, it was Bioware who said a Salarian over the age of 40 is a rarity.

It doesn't strike you as just a bit odd that we have a 50 year old Salarian who still seems perfectly healthy and capable of kicking ass?

The salarian is a geneticist and it is obvious to me that you do not understand the concept of leonization.  It is current genetic theory that a person's DNA and RNA can be reset to a predetermine point if a sample was taken.  Such as a person who is 21 has a sample taken can at the age of 80 reset his DNA/RNA back to what it was at 21.  This is still pretty much in the realm of science fiction but so is Mass Effect.  It wouldn't be surprising to me in the least that is what this scientist has done.  Reset his DNA/RNA aging process to artifically extend his life.

Of all the thing's you could get on to Bioware for, you picked the most trivial, unimportant bit of information I could possibly think of. In fact, I like Bioware MORE because you think this argument is valid.
