So what do you want like 300 options?

Knowing people here, they'd jump at that, and would still complain the random guard by the wall isn't romancable.

Hey, don't go around saying that Guard #3464 and I won't make it! We have a connection, damn it! BW better make him romanceable or I'll start screaming unfairness towards the unnoticed masses!

Actually since you are playing game where you do your own character you can change their orientation to be what you want as easily as the fantasy race. It's just press of button.

I get that there is lot of players who only play female characters- something I can't understand. Less often there is players who only play as their own sexuality. In other hand there is also players who only play one race, especially those who only play human. I guess it comes down do you play as yourself or as character you create yourself. But still, everyone has option to press those buttons and play as different gender, sexuality and race than they are. It's their choice to not use that button.

Then they shouldn't have gay options, just have all straight options in there, what's the use if you can just roleplay as diferent gender and just romance the one you like with the opposite gender.

And that's why we role play.

Or are you really argueing here that to play a gay male you have to be gay yourself?

Nope, but the difference is there are hundred of games that allow you to play straight characters, but barely any game that allow you to play a gay character, so if the opportunity comes up, many gay people would like to roleplay as the gay characters because it's something you were not allowed to do outside of Bioware games or certain games. Put yourself in others' shoes sometimes.

No that exactly what they shouldn't do then. The game is about choices and in that case they would take those choices away. BW shouldn't limit players and players shouldn't limit themselves.

what's the point of you can just role play as someone else? The lgbt is not that big anyway. Waste of resource. They're there to allow gay players to finally be who they are. It's not only there for those who happen yo want to roleplay as a different flavor. Letters have been sent to David Gaider and other staffs that their games allow for people to come out and deal with being gay. It's not simply role play as someone else for a lot of people.

The point is that there isn't much different characters you can play if you can't play as different gender and sexuality as you are. It would make game pretty boring.

I disagree, you need to put yourself in others shoes sometimes where people pretend you don't exist or make fun of you. There are already hundreds of games where they play through the straight perspective. For a game where they can finally be themselves and not being make fun for being different. It shows that you matters. Saying it's simply for variety is really trivialized what it means for a lot of people to finally be who they are

You really didn't see all the people who attacked the four bisexual companions thing?

Uh huh. I don't think these two things are really related. You can play as any gender and sexuality you want and that's important choice to give players no matter if they only play as their own gender and sexuality or not. I like that there is lot of LI's with different sexualities and stuff and are available fo different kind of characters. I'm not sure what your issue with my viewpoint is?

You tell me, I was talking about fantasy race restriction is not the same as sexual orientations. That's where you come in. Females have 4 choices, whether they choose to play as certain physical appearance is up to them. There is a different between reject someone for being black v.s. can't be with someone because they're gay. Some has to do with preference while the other has to do with something you were born with.

The outcome gamewise is same though, restricted is restricted ^^, but yes I will drop this since we aren't talking about same things much ^^

yup, except while one is play pretender while the other is the joy of being recognized and feel that you matter. People have to see how it matters to people to see why it's important. Let's drop it since we are not seeing eye to eye on the importance of inclusion vs choice.

Wow.  People really love Cassandra's romance, huh?  Is there anyone who romanced her and didn't like the romance?

It seems to me that all someone has to do is give her a chance and she'll win them over.  She's only polarizing because some people can't get past her looks.

Yup I romanced her and didn't like her at all. I hate that she is a zealot. She doesn't compromise anything, instead shoves it down your Inquisitors throat. Sorry not my kind of romance.

Soooo, you didn't read the part where I said I did romance her and didn't like it? I gave her the chance, and sorry my character doesn't believe in this "Maker", but that makes Cass mad at every turn. She was a Zealot, and I personally don't like her at all.

I romanced her as an atheist, and she accepted me for that. In the ending, she stated outloud that she knows I'm not a followers as Andraste. You can romance her while disagreeing with her. She doesn't talk about Andraste during her romance scenes at all. I don't get the zealot part from.

The next DA will be even more revolutionary. We'll have 2 brand new origins to choose from: Mabari or Corpse.

And 2 totally new companions as romance options: a zoophile and a necrophile.

She's not a zealot. I may not have romanced her, but she was my femQuisitor's friend and certainly did not try to shove her religion down my throat. Heck, she was even questioning the Chantry, questioning whether the Seekers deserved to even exist at a certain point, and doing other stuff that a zealot probably wouldn't do because a zealot is someone who is an unthinking, unquestioning fanatic - which is about as far as you can get from Cass in the game, in my opinion. Strong faith? Yes. Blind faith? No.

And since I'm agnostic/atheistic, I would probably be rather put off by someone who really was a zealot.

Zealot? Seriously I've seen a lot of actual Zealot type characters and Cassandra is definitely not one of them. I don't recall one moment where she had tried to pile her beliefs on top my character.

As AtreiyaN7 said she has strong beliefs but isn't blinded by them and is very open minded.

I've both romanced and befriended Cassandra, and zealot and uncompromising are exactly what she isn't. She's religious, but she wants change from the rigid "Templars control the mages." If you want a zealot, you only need look at Sebastian, who had a habit of trying to convert everyone he came in contact with. Compare that to Cassandra who actually asked my Elf!Mage if there was space for the Maker amongst Mythal, Elgar'nan, Falon'Din, and the rest of the Elven pantheon. She may have slightly disapproved of my Inquisitor saying that he wasn't sent by Andraste, but who wouldn't be disappointed?

And how is she uncompromising? She's initially distrustful and suspicious of Cole, but she eventually warms up to the little guy. Same with Blackwall. Though she's extremely suspicious and angry at him after his personal quest, she learns to forgive and move on.

Calling her a zealot and uncompromising just means that either you're just spouting some random crap over her or you really haven't interacted her.

Cassandra a Zealot. Really?

Having Faith doesn't automatically make you a Zealot, in fact having Faith makes you question yourself. Cassandra is in this category, I would say she is more brash than a zealot. Considering the fact, that she stabs books in interrogation :P

In game, she questioned herself and her faith but it is always strong. Prove of having Faith, she attracted a Spirit of Faith during her tranquility. Cole comments on it was funny.

Having Blind Faith is worst than having No Faith, it could make you a Zealot. One with a blind cause of action.

For some people just having a faith and talking about it makes one a zealot...
