On the topic of the wardens y'know, hearing the Calling early, etc...... especially those in Orlais, I wasn't sure if the HOF, or Alistair were being affected or not

They are, they're just ignoring it because they know something is up.

Well I remember asking Alistair about the calling and he says he can always hear it like a song stuck in his head. He can only block it out while talking or fighting. And from what i read in codex the Hero of Ferelden has been missing for several years so I'm hoping for some dlc or something to explain the HOF's disappearance.

They left to investigate a way to end the Calling. The real one. Don't plan on actually meeting them.

Since Fiona has been cured of the taint (somehow) im pretty sure the warden will find away. But at what cost?

Leliana gives you a war table mission saying contacting HOF might help the inquisition. Minor:

Upon completion of said mission you get a letter from HOF saying he/she is investigating a way to cure the calling and that is more important and he/she is sorry they can't help.

It struck me as sort of out of character for someone who is supposed to be a "Hero." At least the Hero I played anyway.
