So I just fought what was possibly the longest most boring boss fight I've ever fought. He throws up barriers every few seconds. He frequently got trapped behind the forcefields sealing the arena, and when I finally got him down to his last bit of health what happens? He Disappears! I'm raging right now, and have no intention of redoing this fight. Did anyone else have any techincal issues with Ismael or would just like to give their opinion of the battle?
Grrr...... Ishmael

I feel like a massive noob for asking this but how do you even get there in Emprise du Lion? All I see is a massive cliff south of Sarhnia and even when I get all the way to the Red Templar camp and hug the wall, there seems to be no way to head south. Am I missing something incredibly obvious?

It's a +50 dmg rune. Damn, I was tempt.... But I reloaded and killed him... Nope, not gonna let another town turn into a red lyrium mine again.

What that the most boring boss fight of all time, takes it's name from one of the most boring books in classic English language literature?

I asked him for power and all he gave me was an amulet Cole could use, Going to kill him in every play through now for that.
He adds a good shield as a bonus.
But I kinda thought this was a bug. Asking for power should give you an amulet of power for the Inquisitor, not Cole.
I thought about killing him, then saw he had over 70k HP, said "**** this" and took the power deal.
I think you cannot truly kill Forbidden Ones anyway.

I'm pretty sure you get the same amulet when you loot him after you kill him, too. What a troll.

I asked for money, and he gave me 1,000 plus some crappy "Valuables" that eventually get sold. So I reloaded a save and killed him.

Power = a necklace of power for Cole and a purple shield .
Riches = craps that can be sold for some gold.
Virgins = a 50+ dmg rune
Kill him = same loot as when you pick power, plus all the XP, loots from him and the mobs.
>> the best choices are virgins or kill him, IMO

IIRC, the quest name is actually that.
As for technical issues? I had him pinned to a corner and he couldn't get out so the fight was fairly easy for me. ![]()

The fight isn't difficult at all if you have the right party, it's just overly long and very tedious. I'm going to wait a while before I try again and hopefully won't glitch out on me this time.

It's CHOICE SPIRIT!
Spirit of Choice my six o'clock.
Demon of MO...FU...ING FEAR!
(Yes, I know he changed into a Rage Demon and a Pride Demon during the fight. He died. With Tool of the Game stuck in his back.)
