I finished my main playthrough, and I'm upset. (End of game spoilers)

Before you get all angry and scornful with your 'oh my god the game is good, stfu' shite - this is not that. I absolutely loved the game despite it's shortcomings - I loved the characters, I loved the world, the lore, the twists and turns and the immersion... It truly is one of Bioware's best. Oh and the music.. I don't think I've ever enjoyed music in a game so much since Megaman X, Castlevania SOTN or Mass Effect 1. The Tavern music, the main mission music and even the 'area' music are wonderful. The first time I went to the Hissing Wastes I wandered around aimlessly for what felt like hours listening to the music and reading codex entries, solving the Dwarven puzzles, it was astounding.

PC controls were bad, and I don't mean keybinding or the mouse sensitivity - I mean the UI and the shameful console-to-PC port (It's a AAA game, Bioware please!) they just feel counter-intuitive, sticky, and too bulky, like megablocks to Legos, it was infuriating but I got over it. The game is poorly optimized, but even on some medium setting, but half high/ultra the game looks lovely, and the art direction makes the game come to life - a true credit to Biowares artists. Some of the story decisions like Bulls Chargers, or the Well were very one directional, obviously to tell a story, and take away from choice - but I did not complain, and I did not get annoyed because the story felt good, and it flowed well, and with each step deeper into the story I felt compelled to continue, and after the game ended I wanted-want more..

Alas, none of this matters because a crime far greater than anything Coryphy-spit could  even imagine goes unpunished. This viper spits her poison in the face of Andraste herself. Like a pandemic the news of this crime spreads through the games excellence - withering away the fleshed out story, leaving nothing but a rotting husk,  a body not fit even for crows... Twisted, tainted, tattered and tormented the position of someone most holy, she seeks to replace grace, wisdom and motherly love with ignorance, instability and cruelty. It is she that would ruin the very cause of the inquisition. I say it not in good health because I am sick to my core, but I must say it as to ground myself, and prepare the world for what is to come; Vivienne is Thedas' new Divine.

That said, did this happen to anyone else? I never supported Vivienne, at every chance I had I told her to go stick her staff up her ass, I got more greatly disproves from her than any other member of my Inner Circle, and I told her I did not want her to be Divine -  I would sooner strike her down than let her 'ideas' bind the growth of the world. I told Cassandra that it was not her place, as the Seekers needed a true leader. I looked onto Leliana and saw in her what makes nations rise and fall, society and culture advance, and trade flourish. I saw an idealist was the ability to lead - a Visionary. However there was no option on the wartable for Leliana, but I did pledge to her personally my support - and the entire game I pleaded for mage freedom, Templars becoming champions of the innocent and equality for elves, dwarves, humans and those of the Qun alike. I was cheated of my decision.

Who ends up as the Divine depends on the choices you make in the major plots, as well as (to a lesser degree) some of the attitudes you express towards the Chantry. If you talk to one of the candidates, an operation will open up that allows you to throw some influence their way...but that is not necessarily going to ensure them becoming Divine if your previous choices have weighed very heavily in favor of a different candidate.

Good to know. So Leliana as devine would require answers like "who cares about the Chantry?" or "Who needs the Chantry anyways?" as they occasionally pop up?

Just disliking the Chantry is neutral (depending on the context). Sentiments that suggest the Chantry needs to reform, or that it isn't doing its job, will push Leliana a bit closer towards being Divine. For her, however, the biggest influences by far are allying with the mages at the end of the Redcliffe plot and handing power to Briala at the end of the Wicked Eyes & Wicked Hearts plot.
