I'm noticing the voluminous number of threads bemoaning the many gripes and problems people have been having with the game the last few weeks and most of them are fairly negative, so I wanted to start a thread for the PC users out there who happen to like the game and don't seem to be having all of these problems.

I happen to have a system that can run everything on ultra with ease so I don't really have any graphical problems or crashes and after re-mapping some keys, I have no problem with the kb/m controls.  The combat is almost an exact mix of DA:O and DA:2 which I think is what everyone said they wanted for several years.  The combat is pretty easy to master so I can't really complain about that.  I like the story so far though I admittadly have only played about 12 hours of it, and I like the characters I've met.  Not walking doesn't seem to break the game for me since I don't usually walk much in these games.  Tac cam could go higher but I generally use it as a set up or re-set when I start battles so I'm not trying to fight in it or anything.  The world is pretty amazing and I'm enjoying the expoloration.  In fact, I can't say I really have any complaints and its disappointing that so many people seem to have so many problems.

Anyway, for those that are having problems, that sucks and I hope you are able to enjoy it once you find some solutions, but for those that are enjoying it and having fun, here's a thread you can voice it and add a little positivity to the mostly negative forums that we frequent.

I just finished the main story yesterday and found it great(no spoilers but there is a scene after the credits, so don't walk off and let them roll).

My pc can handle the game on ultra minus MSAA just fine, but I did run into one graphical glitch that distorted my Inquisitor's hands during a cutscene. Not a huge deal, but it did sort of dampen the moment a bit =P

I think they did a great job of the open world and I was enjoying just walking through the environments so much that I never even really bothered using the horse. I did feel like the side quests suffered a bit at times and quite a few felt rather generic, but that's just what you get with open worlds.

Combat I was mostly fine with. I think a number of people were just hoping it would be almost exactly like DA:O and are upset that they sided more with DA2 instead.

Tactical Cam I imagine has already had enough things said about it, and BioWare is well aware of it =P

It's shocking but Reddit has got its scheiBe together more than BSN.

Haven't had any problems worth speaking of. I also have a pretty damn good PC as well, though. I'm about 60 hours into the game and I love it so far. So many people keep talking about the post-credit scene, though, so I'm excited/anxious to finish the game now (but I'm OCD when it comes to finding everything, so that probably won't happen for a while)

As long as that negativity is valid and properly formed then I don't see the issue. I like the game, but there sure are plenty of stupidity with it. For me the concerns are negligible and sure doesn't outweigh the positive with it. I find the game as a whole wonderful.

Feedback is pretty important, positive or negative.

The problem is people shouldn't do the latter impetuously with foam at the mouth.

The combat is a little frenetic for me but that's entirely my problem. I got used to the controls without rebinding. I just play on normal and steamroll most trash anyway.

Over 30 hours in and I love it! Great characters and story-telling! In Your Heart Shall Burn is a fantastic chapter to the game and that moment you reach Skyhold is spine-tingly. I love the shard hunts and the companion banter (don't appear to have that bug as my parties tend to jabber almost incessantly at times). Can't wait for the DLC's and they've sold me on the next game already!

My biggest beef with the game (criticism is fair) is I sometimes get this long load that leads to lags in the game so that I have to re-start the game and then everything works splendidly (memory leak?).

Agreed. But to be fair there has been mouth foaming on both sides of the conversation.

I love the game. A bunch.

The problem is I can't play it due to the accent switch bug.

The reason why I am so pissed off is because I can't play the game I love so much.

Nearing my 100 hour mark.  Two saves.  Thirty something on one, seventy something on another.

One crash.  Also Dorian's Quest appears bugged for the moment.  That aside coming from someone who was willing to overlook... many... many things in DA:2 for my love of this franchise...  This may be one of the best games I have played in a very, very, long time.

Any day one issues I had were resolved by three steps: Latest Nvidia drivers, DISABLING ORIGIN OVERLAY IN GAME, and disabling the 30 FPS lock on cut scenes.

My PC:  i7 4770k 3.5ghz stock settings, 16 gigs corsair ram, a 670GTX 4GB graphics card.  Ultra on nearly all my settings and getting 60 frames.

Virtually problem free on my PC.  I love this game and all it's characters in so very many ways.  It would be a regrettable mistake as a Bioware fan to not purchase this game.  You're missing out if you haven't.  And before anyone says fan boy I was one of the very louder mouths about EA and the ME3 ending.  Bioware took many, many steps in all the right directions.  I would give it a 9/10 and that's only because the controls take a bit of getting used to.  Remapping tactical pause to your space bar makes it all better.

Does the origin overlay really affect that much?

They did some things so, so right and overflowing with love that not even the flaws* in this game succeeded in spoiling the experience for me.

*and I'd serious bugs

Does the origin overlay really affect that much?

In my experience, yes. I don't know why I foolish enough to let it on, when it also caused problems for me in DA2

in a few weeks playing this game I had not yet seen any trouble with the game, except yesterday when I was fighting in middle of triangles, settled terrain to LOW and had no trouble after all. At first i was having the hair and blood shading issue but i also aknowledge that my graphic card is the only underdog in this PC (else is superb)

first.. i have a decent system:

i7

win 8

GT750

16 GB RAM

RAZR Megaladon headphones

ive noticed the following issues with the PC game:

unable to load a save.  reloading a different one seemed to fix the problem.

unable to complete the game as a cut-scene wouldnt load properly.  was able to recover after reloading a couple times.. not getting any more specific due to spoilers.

at launch, my character's hair, as well as other NPCs had the same shine as metal helms.. had to reduce the quality of the graphics (from ultra to high if i remember right) to fix the issue.

sometimes sound will cut out.  simply pressing start and then going back to the game seemed to recover the issue.

other than those issues and the issues with keyboard and mouse.. the game is great.. its just not the cRPG game experience i was expecting.

I'm 40 hours in and have enjoyed all if it. I'm able to get a pretty steady 50fps (with occasional dips in busy areas), most settings on high, a couple on ultra, msaa disabled. I have a 280x and also use Radeon pro. I'm of the opinion that a lot of PC players that complain about performance on their high end rigs haven't spent enough time tweaking settings and making alterations that others have recommended.

The gameplay itself is really good, voice acting -as has been said - is stellar. I play all my PC games with a wireless Xbox controller and have no problem with approaching DA:I as a straight-up console game. I sympathise with those that are disappointed with the controls for KB+M though.

I think it largely comes down to pre-launch expectations. I only started getting excited for the game about 2 weeks before it's release date and I had no expectations in my head of what it would be like. In my experience, disappointment is inevitable when I've been anticipating a game for months/years. This is amplified when the game is part of a series as I'd also be judging it against previous installments.

I'm not angry and I really like the game as well, but I'm not gonna act like there is nothing wrong with it either.

There is a lot to be improved and fine-tuned in this game such as the keyboard + mouse control.

I'm loving the game.

Remapped my keys, and while still not perfect, I have gotten used to them.

Playing on ultra settings. The graphics are beatuiful! Lichen on the rocks, wood grain and fabric textures....

Have had some strange clipping issues. Blackwall standing IN his chair, with one leg up on it a la Captain Morgan.

Game is fun, expansive, and......overwhelming at times. (I'm used to 'being on the rails' too much I guess)

I have quibbles.....but I am hoping for so much more from the future of the DA series (and DLC for THIS game), and am already planning my second playthrough.

I have a gaming laptop (I know) which runs the game on high. I also have Origin on during the game. It has been 50 hours or so and the game hasn't crashed once. Everything has been running smoothly, other than long loading screens.

The only thing I don't like atm are melee controls, I had to respec my dw rogue to an archer. :(

I am a sword and shield warrior at Level 10 about 13 hours through the game. So far I'm loving it. My laptop is about 2 years old. An Alienware 14X (Geforce 765M or something like that). It runs great on Medium settings throughout (30-35 FPS). Even though the lists below seems like I have more dislikes than likes, believe me, I definitely love the game and the dislikes are relatively minor.

What I like:

1. The Story. I was really worried the story would suffer because of the fact that they spent so much time opening up the world, creating bigger picture things, etc. But I'm loving the politics, the work I'm putting to building up a reputable Inquisition, and overall exploring.

2. It's HUGE. So much to do, so many people to see.

3. Party members. Without spoiling anything, I like the diversity so far.

4. Side quests. Many say they are relatively lame. They are right, they are a little lame. But it gives me a good excuse to go out venturing into new neighborhoods, which is awesome.

5. It just feels like a good game. Can't point to anything specific, but hey, whatever, it's good!

What I dislike:

1. Combat - it's a little too frantic right now and definitely feels like an arcade game you used to play as a kid. Many times, I really don't know what the heck is going on. There's a bunch of hack sounds of my sword, explosions from my party mage, health gets low and my party drinks some potions, more explosions from spells and hacks, etc, then before you know it, the battle is over. Uhh... what just happened? I'm also pretty sure at least half of my swings are swings and misses to the air as characters don't automatically go to the enemy before swinging. The combat for DAO was much slower, but more realistic in my opinion.

2. Ugh, I must have messed up importing my DA Keep account, because all my choices didn't get transferred over to my Inquisition game. Oh well, looks like it's a good excuse for another play through  :P Not a Bioware fault, but my own.

3. Enemies. If I clear an area of enemies, I expect them to be gone when I come back to it. Not so in DAI. Not a big deal, but still annoying.

4. NPCs. For the most part, unless an NPC is for a quest, they are just generically staring out into the blue.

5. Character creation: not a fan of the automatic points to the attributes. Seems like DAO had more skills. Not sure how it compares.

6. Items. While I'm only Level 10, it seems I haven't seen that much of a variety of items. I also don't like the way the inventory is organized. I prefer the DAO approach. It was much easier to compare items. Here is it kind of annoying.

This is the only forum I've read with so many negative comments on the game. I'm playing it on PC and have over 60 hours in the game. These are the bugs I've experienced:

stuttering in conversations(known problem)

3 crashes to desktop

graphical glitches like clipping(going to happen)

poor performance on my 980 thanks to poor driver support

poor PC controls and interface

AI bugs

sound bugs

That's it. Not exactly much to complain about considering how good the game is. In a month most of these problems will be eliminated from the game. It's as if people never played any other game. I challenge you to go play some other AAA games this season like AC:U and let me know how polished you think DAI is then.

I also explore every corner of a region and do all content. I'm a QA's nightmare and yet I've still barely ran into bugs. I think the game is pretty polished already. Obviously experiences with bugs vary and I guess I'm lucky. The self-entitled generally exaggerate. I'm not saying everyone with problems is like this but the gamer community does have a lot of people who exaggerate issues. It's easy to see hyperbole on these forums.

Sadly, PC gamers have about a billion different configurations making it even more difficult to QA. Then you have the possibility of user error like not installing drivers properly giving Bioware blame.

I got 140 hours played on PC.

Like I said in another thread just now, ZERO issues with bugs, ZERO issues with controls.

These are just plain lies and BS. And I'm getting tired of hearing it.

I dont understand the PC control problem, I am playing on PC I have no prob with Tac Cam sure its not as DAO's tac cam and sure the cave tac cam have to be fixed but its not that bad.  I actually enjoy that attack is not auto. Though I have some technical issues and I am trying to fix it, but so far I love the story and gameplay. :)

PC has so many different hardware configurations that there are almost always going to problems with software as big as Inquisition. I never personally experienced any bugs with New Vegas, but that doesn't mean that they didn't exist. A lot of crashes on PC are related to the game not playing nice with your hardware setup.

Controls are going to be more subjective. Rebinding keys fixed 90% of my issues with the action cam, but the tactical cam I tried for about 5 minutes before deciding it was going to be unplayable with Keyboard + Mouse.
