When you finish Origins and start Awakening (after importing a save) is it possible to get those armor/equipment in your inventory,  that your Origins party members were using during the final battle with Archdemon? Or is it lost forever?

Same question about finishing Awakening and starting Golems of Amgarrak.

Yes.

Longer answer: After Origin completes, select 'resume game'. Your character will be in a grassy field with a road, exit that and return to your camp. All of your companions should be there (minus any that left you).

I typically strip all of them of their gear, assign them inappropriate clothing (i.e. Sten in a chantry robe) and sell anything I am not taking with me (Bodahn and Sandal are still in camp for that). At this point it is also a good idea to shed any equipment that poses problems in Awakening (Warden Commander armour for example). Sell everything you do not need, keeping in mind that Awakening has some truly over the top stuff.

Spoiler

Once you have traded, bought and sold everything to your satisfaction, do a full save. I usually name mine 'transfer'.

Select 'new game' then whatever DLC you wish to play. The game will ask you if you want to use an existing character. Select 'yes' and then select the correct save for that character.

One caveat: For whatever reason I have never successfully transferred to Awakening with all of my warden's gear equipped. When the PC pops up at the start, she usually isn't wearing the correct hat or is missing a sword. It's always been in her inventory, so no harm, no foul, but it's an annoyance.

All of your stuff follows you to Golems from Awakening, I think. It's been a while for that one.

Hope this helps!

Also remember that if you on the PC there's a mod that is supposed to let more equipment to transfer over as well. -- I haven't ever tried it, but I'm drooling at the thought of keeping my Starfang.

It took me ages - and a lucky accident - to figure that out, that we could continue playing after the funeral... Which includes access to the party loot deposit at Soldier's Peak and the merchants there, perfect for prepping for the afterlife.

Thanks a lot! Will try this out, next time when I'm restarting DAO . Currently my game is paused before the last fight of "Golems of Amgarrak".
I guess you've played this game on PC, right? I'm playing it on console. Among other drawbacks, there's no way to rename a saved game. Anyway, have to make-do with certain things  I guess.
