Give absolute damage numbers in special ability descriptions

How about giving the actual damage (or armor) numbers based on the weapons/armor the character has currently equipped in the special abilility descriptions in addition to percentages.

This is especially important because the inventory screen highlights DPS instead of base damage, so it's easy to misjudge the damage output of weapons where there is significant difference between the two metrics (mainly daggers).

 

And please clarify what armor rating actually means. I guess it's not a straight subtraction from the damage received but something more indirect. It's obvious that a higher armor rating is preferable, but it's not obvious (at least to me) if, say, an armor that is 10 points better, has any significant effect.

 

And lastly, how about an option in the inventory screen to default the item list to the weapon/armor class filter the character has currently equipped instead of giving the unfiltered list (and put the shields category next to the one handed swords).
