I slightly edited quoted post, for a clearer response.

1. So? It doesn't automatically mean it's a bad game.

2. Leave the Hinterlands. Seriously. Besides, no one is asking you to do all this stuff. There is a ton of interesting quests - and in addition to those are the MMO fetch quests (which serves a particular purpose nonetheless).

3. Simplified how?

4. That's simply not true. Put on Nightmare, friendly fire, and try playing that without tactics. Hell, try playing larger locations without a strategy.

5. Turn Mesh quality to high/ultra

6. Never had a problem with that. By doing quests you can stop respawn of certain enemies altogether or even turn them to your side.

7. It's not tragic, but it's not good either, I'll agree. Point is, DA2 had a very similar one.

8. Hard to say for now. I'd have to finish main sotry and replay the game. But some consequences are certainly there.

9. I have yet to encounter a significant one (after 80 hours of playing).

1 I'm PC player and I bought game for PC...

2 Its to hard, fight in console style is annoying.

3 Look how chars look like in Origins.

4 -> 2

5 Optimization of game doesn't aloud to my PC components

6 Mhmmm maybe you play in different game

7 Its is.

8 ...

9 i found fe algorithm for finding the shortest path is not working, game teleport party to controlled char.

seriously this fan base is a cancer  I MEAN IT

The whining complainers you see are the lazy gamers who want everything watered down and dumbed down.  They want everything handed to them.

Sounds like you are just too lazy to test the settings out.  I'm running on PC and the game works fine for me.

Also....LEARN to play the game. You don't have to stay in the hinterlands to finish eveyrthing. LEARN to unlock new areas.

The only thing that is a cancer, seems to be EA.

You can picture the meeting between the EA chief executive and the Bioware lead designer.

- Lead Designer: 'We want to return to core Bioware values, and make a game that brings DA back to it's Origins so to speak.'

- Ea Executive: 'Lolz.. Nah I'll tell you what you'll do.. You are gonna mix Skyrim and WoW into it, and ignore PC gamers completely. XBox and grindmania FTW! We may even be able to set up a e-store that sells uber items and crafting pieces for top $$$

Change your settings.   As for the game.  ITS NOT A MMO. You are playing alone.  Stop being lazy and learn to use your imagination.

Or would you rather play a linear game and have everything handed to you?

Amen.

1. Yeah, same as I did. Still doesn't mean it's a bad game.

2. So when you're saying that battles are chaotic, is just your fault for not being able to control it's flow. Your lack of skill is not representative of what this game has to offer tactically.

3. Yeah, I did. They had worse skill trees (a whole lot of useless abilities) and you could get attributes every level. That's about it - you had skills for crafting potions, traps, speechcraft etc - but those were hardly game changing - apart from coercion.

Inquisition has far superior skill trees (similar to DA2 - although skill upgrades are more meaningful and game changing in Inquisition, so are passives) and attributes are resolved via equipment. Apart from that you have Inquisition perks - those take place of crafting/speech abilities from DA:O. Progression is different, but I'd hardly call it simplified. Putting 3 points into your attributes every level is not that hard - there's nothing to simplify here.

4.

5. Putting meshes on high will not destroy your performance completely.

6. Maybe you have issues with your drivers or programs running in background. Ever considered that option?

7. I'm overwhelmed by the thoroughness of your argument.

8.

9. So did Origins if you for example used Haste and moved too fast. That's hardly a significant bug.

At least DA2 was playable, DA:I is a grindfest from hell. With dumped down quests and story.

Full control of development? So you are naive enough to think they get a carte blanche to do what ever they like, and Uncle EA will pull out the cheque book? Fair enough.

@Viper.. Your argument against me being critical of the game is that I must be a troll? Seriously?

It couldn't be that I like so many other fans of Bioware (semi-fan, former-fan.. not sure where I stand tbh), are simply massively disappointed with the game, and decided to use what a forum is intended for and voice our opinion.

Nooo we are a cancer for not being happy with what we are fed. Hilarious.

Maybe some people just like enemies materializing from the ceiling like they did in DA2.

Sure there are some issues with the game but after a few adjustments the game works for me.

I also really do NOT have sympathy for people who have computers that  running with less than 8 gigs of RAM. In this day and age you should have at least 16 gigs.   RAM is cheap too.   Ive helped several friends get their game to run better just by helping them get RAM and add it to their computers.

I didn't write that I don't like BioWare. I don't like Its production, Inquisition.

Second. I don't have problems with gays. I just have enough gay propaganda. Its everywhere, especially in media. It would be nice if games were free of it..

Um. I hate to tell you this, but if the existence of two gay characters in the game and one companion quest related to a character's sexuality and dealing with the kind of crap that homosexual and bisexual people deal with on literally a daily basis is too much "gay propaganda" for you...you have a problem with gay people. Like, you're basically saying "well they're okay, as long as they don't make their existence known to me. Gosh."

Despite the fact I hated DA2 I love the way they have combined the combat style of DAO & DA2 into DAI but kept the overall feel of the original game. Before this came out DAO was one of my many favorite bioware games have to say despite it being made clearly with consoles in mind its right up there with the best of them for me.

Nicely done bioware! :)

I think many people were expecting Inquisition to be the next gen Origins. That's why so many seem to be upset because there's barely any similarities here. But for me that's not a bad thing. I wasn't expecting another Origins, plus I like that BW is trying to find a mix between tactical and real time combat. I'm having a blast and about to start my second playthrough. So sorry to those who aren't having a good time.

Same here... I wasn't expecting another origins, even if it would had been awesome. I was expecting a better thing than a mere Sims Medieval/Jagged Aliance: Back in Action/Dragon age combo and i got it (expecting something better than dragon age 2 would had been aiming to low... any crappy game on the list would be that, EVEN SAINTS ROW 4 or Superman 64)

The only thing/s I don't enjoy about the game are all the bugs and glitches, problems im sure will be solved in due time. This is easily my game of the year, and my second favourite Dragon Age game overall. Stop complaining and just play the damn game, its a lot more fun than some people are making it out to be. And please, please, stop with the PC/Console elitism, it really doesnt matter what you play it on, it doesnt make you better than anyone else.

that's not fair, the game has some serious flaws if you come to it and expect a dragon age sequel... dragon age it is NOT, but in itself it's an alright game, not amazing, but has some features that half-make up for its' downfalls

technically, it's a nightmare... pathing issues; terrain issues; total lack of any complex control of your party except "attack my target" "hold still" "disengage", which are not complex controls at all, but basic commands; then you have performance issues; interface issues; quite a staggering lack of variety in the aesthetic of armor; every zone trying to be open world like skyrim with a lot of fetch quests, collectibles, and the mob level ranges

a fair few more but you get the picture

there's plenty they could have done better, you have to admit that much at least, because whiteknighting a developer that looks to its customers for feedback of all kinds instead of offering such feedback is idiotic at a base level and demeans yourself and other buyers of the game

Well, in fairness, you haven't really needed that much RAM until very recently. Hell, my backup rig is a 3 GB Vista system, and there have been only two games I've tried that it wouldn't run fine. Oddly enough, one of them was DA:O, which was a terrible RAM hog for its era. (That cleared up with W10). The other was BF4, which ran OK except for massive stuttering on some cutscenes. I'm sure I could have found more stuff that wouldn't run if I'd worked at it, of course.
