Um. I hate to tell you this, but if the existence of two gay characters in the game and one companion quest related to a character's sexuality and dealing with the kind of crap that homosexual and bisexual people deal with on literally a daily basis is too much "gay propaganda" for you...you have a problem with gay people. Like, you're basically saying "well they're okay, as long as they don't make their existence known to me. Gosh."

I get the feeling that you didn't actually hate telling him that. :P

THIS GAME HAS FLAWS. THEREFORE IT IS THE WORST GAME BIOWARE HAS EVER MADE.

I hate this community sometimes.

I remember Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 also being the worst games Bioware has put out. I still need to play Mass Effect 3 honestly, but I actually liked DA2, so I just have to take people's fan rage with a grain of salt. Not every game is going to please everybody. DA:I isn't perfect, but I've had a lot of fun with it so far. I'm hoping for a banter and music patch in the future, though.

I have to agree with the topic that DA:I is the worst Bioware Game to date, BUT only in reference to the Main Story and Story development. DA2 story was actually a good one although very linear. It was cohesive and logical whereas DA:I is downright boring and the story development is so slow it doesn't make you want to know what will happen next. I like the feel of of DA:I when exploring the world but an RPG should put the biggest emphasis on the story which in the DA:I case is very poor and IMO the worst in Bioware history.

To all defenders of Inquisition ->

If Bioware had done Inquisition like they said(game for PC, back to solution of first DA) , the problem wouldn't have existed.

They lied, i feel cheated by they side...

So i have right to say to them about they production. They aren't saint.

This is my favorite DA to date. I absolutely loved DA:O and also really liked DA2 despite its shortcomings. DA:I has me positively hooked. I have already finished one 90hr playthrough. I am 70 hours into a second playthrough and have a 3rd (nightmare) in the works as well. With clever choices in the Dragon age keep and careful choices in game, I am seeing a TON of different content on my playthroughs.

I actually LOVE the combat. I like that there is a skill element to the fighting. Tactics are required for me on Nightmare difficulty especially in the really early game when you have no good gear or abilities.

I also enjoy the multiplayer as well.

Personally I adore the hybrid of Skyrim and Dragon Age. TES and Bioware RPGs are my 2 faves.

In short: I do not agree with OP

That's an interesting metaphor. People have been saying "rock is dead" since.... well, I've been hearing it since 1977 or so, myself. It never manages to actually die.

It will, young studios are already winning the game if it is about playability, features and community listening. Only strong brand and funding is keeping that EA giant alive. Its slow process because fans are still waiting for some worth time games but after seeing one disappointment after another one it seems that we will run out of patient soon.

DA1 was amazing. DA2 had better graphics, not bad storyline but it was so short and limmited in features that we where a bit disappointed about.

DA3(inquisition) was(is) terrible! Boring, limmited, weak play ability. Its broken in almost every part. One think that is really much better is graphics so I bow before artist but whole game by itself is crap. I am sorry, I was fan of that series from start but I cant stand more and more disapointments. ;/

I guess I'm just not very picky as I'm enjoying DA:I. DA:O was probably my all time favorite CRPG, and I even didn't mind DA2, although it wasn't nearly as good as DA:O for me.  I've played over 100hrs of DA:I and while I wouldn't put it quite up to DA:O's level I'm thoroughly enjoying it.  Yeah some of the quests are boring, but I play MMO's so I'm pretty much used to those kind of quests.  The main quests are mostly excellent.

I basically just like the world, the combat, and the characters, and the ability to create a character that looks the way I want them... well mostly(hair, and facial hair choices are pretty thin).

Well. DAII still is the worst game BW has done both in gameplay and narrative. ME3 has a very bad main plot and worst ending ever, but gameplay and parts of the narrative (genophage mostly, geth to a lesser extent ) were excellent. DA:I so far I find ok to good, whenever the camera or the stupid AI don´t get me killed, storywise I´m not that advanced as I´m exploring as much as I can.

If you seriously thought they were going to go back to a Baldur's Gate simulator in 2014 - you should feel cheated, you should also feel sort of gullible.

Origins < DA2 < DAI

Playing on PC. Don't even give a crap anymore. This perpetual hate bandwagon is only getting sadder with every release. A few forum threads and a few hundred metacritic zeros aren't going to somehow trick several hundred thousand people that they didn't buy a fantastic RPG.

The worst game by Bioware is whatever the most recent game they release is overall according to the forums. It is funny to see DAO so lauded when at the time it was a bland looking, out of date, dumbed down, buggy pale imitation of BG2.

I started this topic because of my angriness. I spent a lot of  money bought a mediocre game. Bioware made a joke of me a whole community of DA. Why? There is a lot thing I and many people didn't wanted:

- its made for consoles, not  PC`s

- side quest are boring, looks like copy of World of Warcraft (bring 10 ram meat, build camps, make me sandwich etc)

- simplified character development

- chaotic battles, without tactic
- plastic models of chars
- to fast re spawn of mobs

- Tragic interface of equipment

- choices which have no influence in game

- lots of bugs

Do not know, why all game magazines gave this game  rating 9/10 or higher. It should be at most 5.

I feel like I bought MMO game not cRPG.

PS (sry for my bad English)

Kielbaldo, you are right its not a RPG, its a offline MMO

Yes, BioWare will continue on but it won't be the same.  The new fans they were wanting to attract by going arcade, action rpg like will come and go and the fans of many years will either accept their new brand, deal with it, move on or continue board warrioring/fighting as if things will revert to pre-EA BioWare.

Those being reviled for the "toxic" criticism are also the ones that were very passionate and devoted to BioWare.  Hundreds of hours of researching, sampling and playing through again and again with newly installed mods, immersing in fan faction, fan art, board discussions of their favorite BioWare characters, eager anticipation of fan made mods reactivating content that was cut from the original release.

While i'm over it and have tried to approach the new DA with a fresh start, it just doesn't have the same appeal to me as pre-EA BioWare games.  There'll never be anything quite like the old BioWare.

I wouldn't bring EA into it. Bio came up with Jade Empire and Mass Effect before EA came along, and KotOR was an obvious console port, and not even a very good one. I think Bio would have evolved in this direction even if EA had never come along.

I feel like a Tevinter Magister that has become jaded...

It's like the PC Master Race broke into the Golden City - found it was black - and now all that's left are a bunch of mewling sad little darkspawn running around with mice and keyboards trying to smash!

I am so ashamed to be a PC gamer after the last few weeks of these forums.

I too find this baffling.  Did the reviewers have a different game?  Were they payed off or threatened?  I don't know, but something is fishy about this whole review thing.  When you look at user reviews it tells a completely different story.

I am one of those that actually liked DA2 after I got into it, but this is the first BW game in which I feel totally conned and ripped off by.

And many of the people who like DAI are also "passionate and devoted fans."

In any case, it still doesn't change the fact that EVERY game that BW puts out is condemned to be their "worst game" by a vocal percentage of the fandom.

I like certain aspects of the game, and dislike others. What I'm "over" is the extremest opinions on either side where DAI is either the "worst game ever" or "the most awesome game ever."

When I was your age...

See, this is why people should never be immortal.  They're incapable of keeping up with a decade's worth of video game alteration... how could they possibly handle immortality.

I didn't write that I don't like BioWare. I don't like Its production, Inquisition.

Second. I don't have problems with gays. I just have enough gay propaganda. Its everywhere, especially in media. It would be nice if games were free of it..

He's a Troll fol-de-rol, he's a Troll fol-de-rol, he's a Troll fol-de-rol and he’ll eat you up for supper. As long as you aren't gay, or maybe if you are?

Different? Sure. After reading DA2 and ME3 user reviews I've found them to be less trustworthy than the professional reviews,, though obviously YMMV. Depends on what you think the problems were.
