Apologies if this is a childish post, but I was really excited about some of the Inquisitor art that was bandied about, and seem to remember a great deal of information about how customizable crafting would be, with you being able to choose your own look, etc.

 

Here's an example of some of the art work that was shown:

However, I'm Level 8 and a little way into the game but the only "helmet" schematics I can find for rogues are scout hats (fairly dull) and adventurer hats (kind of half a helmet, with a plume coming out - an actual plume! Urgh.).

 

Can anybody help me out on where to look? I'd love a cool hat. Would settle for a hood. Anything that looks at all rogue-like.

 

Or is this something that unlocks later in the game?

I second this. I found a jaunty Orlesian Mage hat (I don't remember where) and it's pretty terrific. But I desperately need more.

 

I'm guessing chest loot is randomized, but I found the Battlemage Hood in a chest in Old Crestwood. Looks pretty good, as far as hoods go - I use it on a dwarven rogue.

I think I read that someone got a schematic for that hat from Empris de Leon?

That hat design i got from the Hinterlands Dragon. Most good gear comes from Dragons.

I found that hat in Hinterlands, I have no idea where exactly though... But it wasn't from the Dragon. I believe I was between level 3-8 when I found it.

I did not get that hat design from the HInterlands Dragon.  I did however get the hat itself as a drop...from something, not dragon related.

That hat - The Inquisitor's Hat as it's known in-game - I found in a chest in the East Road area of the Hinterlands. The schematic for it I found, I believe, on the Crestwood dragon. But it's probably random as I never found the hat on my first playthrough...

I imagine there is more than one place where the hat drops. I have one, "common quality", but I can't remember where I picked it up.
