Bethesda has a similar process in patches where they are all released together. Probably has to do with agreements made with sony/microsoft.

I dont remember any beibg released on fridays. Tuesdays seem to be usual day

People who say cant be fixed on 360 have no idea what they are talking about. Game is not even coming close to taxing system. If its true that digital versions have better graphics than disc than that seems fixable

It seems clear that Bioware is not repeating what it did in da2 and getting into battles with us. Im positive they were told to stay away from forums but fix bugs in a certain
order.

What separates bethesda and bioware is users were able to go into code etc and see what was being included in patches and dlc prior to it being released

It is close. I do not wish to appear snarky but it looks as if suality check of this patch takes longer than it took for the whole game before the release.

Now imagine that maybe, just maybe BioWare's finest are already spending  their bonuses in minds, received in celebration of excellent DA:I launch. Well, at least the game is selling well.

Work regulations? I don't know about the laws in Canada, but in the US, if your employees are salaried, vice hourly, you can work them till they drop and their only recourse is to quit (simplifying the situation a bit, but mostly true). And even hourly, you can work them till they drop, you're just going to have to pay a bunch of overtime.

I'm not sure that's entirely accurate.  I don't think most jobs can make you work 24 hours straight, and you have to have a minimum of 8 hours in between shifts.

and that exactly the point they dont communicate about patches. he said the patch is in the QA process, and what if they find a mayor bug? or a feature they said it will be in the patch is not working correct? i wouldnt communicate with this kindergarden too, you can only loose.

The most funny part about waiting for Sony / Microsoft to approve the console patches is this imho: They wont be the same.

There are differences between the platforms. So when Sony / MS finally give their okay and we get the patch, there is still the potential it introduces bugs that Sony / MS didn't see, because they never actually tested the pc patch.

So this waiting can't even be sold as some kind of "making sure about quality". It's just bullshit. :D

Quality over quantity - I agree, but... it's third week, sure i understand it all, however as customer i need to be demanding... we all should. Especially when PC version for some players is unplayable, and don't even work properly.

I agree, and it really irritates me when fellow gamers say "stop whining" or accuse us of being "entitled" because we are unhappy with the product we have bought. People like that with those fanboyish attitudes allow developers like Bioware, and UBI to push out crap, knowing full well, they'll patch it up in a few weeks or so. Or in the case of a certain DA 2 bug..never at all.

Yes you are right. These horrible customers. They have paid and now they are demanding, so childish - really, who do such things?! Who are they to tell BioWare about transparency and communication, they should check their privileges and stop asking as if somebody owes them something.

3 weeks is a lot of time. If they are holding their patch because of consoles then it is vile, if it is not the case then still, it takes far too long. Why releasing product if it is not completed.

Will we get our precious patch today? I think we will. It is Friday, right? Weekend full gaming. They wouldn't disappoint us at this point, would they?

that's the worst thing to do.

They release the patch, they go on break for the week-end.  Oops.  There's a critical issue.  The game is worst than before.  The AI is totally gone, ennemies are passive...   Sorry, have to wait for Monday to get it fixed.

Better release it on Tuesday morning, that way if something goes wrong, you can fix it by Wednesday.

Oh, and if you think that because it's a big company these kind of things can't happen because of serious QA testing... just look at Microsoft and the many mistakes they did with Windows patching.

Hmm, the vast majority (if not almost all) of the posts here have been nothing but mature, thoughtful, polite and more than reasonable expressions, at least the hundreds that I have read.

They should get the patch out asap, particularly for PC, but that doesn't change the fact that most of their fans are awful. I think this can be proven in a laboratory setting.

There's a difference between being demanding and being belligerent.  Not saying you or OP are, but some people are and it reduces the impact of those that can express their disappointment and future expectations in a mature way.

They can work during weekends. I'm not software savvy but there must be a a rather large difference between OS and game. In DA:I there is simply too many obvious bugs that have passed on the released version, as if the testing was cut or nobody truly cared about it.

It should get released asap, yes. I agree, but I think that we refer to a different things. I associate 'awful' fans with inclusive content. Anyway, fans are going to be fans, they are big company, they should practise beneficial communication for the fans instead of profitable for them (cave in). They should do many things they ar enot doing.

didnt say this, just said when they cant give exact informations everything will be construed to their disadvantage. what will happen? the tactical cam needs more work so it isnt in the patch - but you promised to fix the controls. the patch is in QA - but you promised a patch soon. they just cant win.

and no game is released complete nowadays, when you dont want to have the risk of a buggy game dont preorder it or buy it at release, simple as that. its not ok but meanwhile everybody should know this but people preorder no matter what again and again (and even buy early access and kickstarters) and whining after that in the forums. would the mayority of people start to wait a few month and buy the gamer cheaper and finished the industry would stop this behaviour, but gamers still riding the hype train, they just get what they deserve.

I don't know about anyone else, but if it was me, I'd focus my efforts on getting the patch out as fast as possible over posting an endless series of "we're working on it" messages.

If they had more than a million testers for the QA process, playing on thousands of different system configurations, they might have been more thorough. I don't think any comparatively small QA team is ever going to be able to stress test quite as efficiently as the unwashed masses.

Actually everything is better with a controller on PC while playing DA:I. Anyone who claims playing with M/KB is in any way better is just flat out lying.

Or maybe you just dont know how to use a mouse and keybored.  Ive been playing the game from the start on PC with mouse and keybored and its fine. Try learning it before complaining.
