Actually everything is better with a controller on PC while playing DA:I. Anyone who claims playing with M/KB is in any way better is just flat out lying.
Subjective experience. I can almost hit every button on my keyboard blind, yet when having to play using 4 color-coded buttons I fail more often than I'd like to admit.
Yes, it takes practice and since I never owned a console I'm missing that. There is a dilemma for me thugh: Can I enjoy a game while (mis)using it for training? I wanna have fun with DAI, not work on my controller skills.
Oh and there is one thing that I generally don't like with the pad: Camera movement. With the mouse I can look around as fast as I can move my hand. With a controller this is not the case. I crank the stick all the way to one side and the camera moves as fast as the controller / sensibility setting allows, which is usually a lot slower than with mouse.
Every game that offers some advantage for keeping a good overview therefore feels kinda punished by controller input, imho and according to my experience. Take for instance the Batman games. You'd normally think that this game demands controller input. I can see that, but I'm actually much better in the fights using mouse and keyboard because I'm able to keep my surroundings and enemies in view much more efficient.
Just my 2 cents. I'm not at all opposed to play games with gamepad, just not used to it and I simply prefer mouse and keyboard, because I played with it for ~22 years.
