Based on what I've read of others there seem to be a number of show stopping bugs in this game.

Nah. A number of people are posting they are on their second and third playthru. Which indicates to me there are no blocking type of bugs where a player cannot continue the game in some way.

I'm starting my second run... but... CC is stumping me. I MUST have a beautiful FemInq Elf before I commit to that toon.

My first character took 8 hours to create with an unknown number of attempts. My second playthru (so far) ~ 1.5 hours and I'm about to delete my 3rd attempted character and start over.

The CC is good... but bad at the same time. Better than DA2 and DA1 tho'.

I can't believe we still don't have a single patch yet. This is just ludicrous. No AAA title has taken this long to issue a post Day-1 patch to fix what are truly game breaking issues.

Bioware, I'm seriously speechless. There is nothing you can say that will validate or defend this kind of neglect of your players. I am never pre-ordering or buying another bioware title until the first post Day-1 patch drops from now on. You just can't be trusted to get patches out in a timely fashion. AAA title games cost too much to wait this long for the first bunch of major fixes. You should feel ashamed.

No AAA game has taken 2 weeks for a patch before? Are you kidding me? Under two weeks would be the rare case.

I remember bugged games with no patches ever released, and games with 3 or more patches in the first week of release. (Not counting MMOs, those can have few patches released... During a single day)

Whatever happens here, we've seen it before... But we do have the right to demand fixes (the product we were promissed).

Same with a broken lamp or car.

Funny thing is, I bought both DA:I and FarCry4. I've yet to actually START FarCry, because I was spending most free time on Dragon Age (mostly multiplayer). Should have done the opposite I guess... :P

PS: Full day spent on trying to get past main menu and changing language on my region locked copy. Who should win the golden poop award this time? EA or Ubiosoft?

I'd say what he meant by show stopping are bugs that prevent you from actually reaching the end of the game. Sure, glued elven arms are VERY annoying and perhaps a deal breaker for many of us, but it doesn't prevent you from playing the game, technically speaking.

I was referring to impassable disc unreadable errors, corrupted saves, and instances where peoples games get into a loop of crashing mere minutes of loading it up every single time.

did you even read what he wrote past the first sentence?

And your point being ?

I don't really care about people who make alt accounts just to like themselves on some post , especially when several accounts that links to the same websites... honestly they could have do better

back to your question , He/ She is mostly speaking for her/himself . Just an hour ago  , I was half way in my DA:I  quest and my NPC just disappeared out of no where after I finished the quest, there is no way for me to progress through the game now .

@MassaFX You did not encounter the bugs , so consider yourself lucky , stop speaking for people who did . It is people like you who are trying so hard to cover up for the failures that end up causing us troubles , when developers read the thread ( if they ever did ) they will be thinking  " Oh she did not had the bugs , the bugs must be made up , the others are making hyperbole about everything  , case closed " .  We honestly don't want that to happen .

Whenever someone said something negative ( some are trolling , yes , but not all of them. Some are actually making constructive points ) , I understand how much you love your favorite game company , just like most of us here did . You did not have to disregard them by putting yourself on a position that try so hard to pretend like you are comforting everyone . You are not .

Again , if you have something to say , you can just leave your reply on the forum , do not private message me . You have nothing to be afraid of , if what you typed can be read by everyone . Still thinking if I should post this private message I just received from someone who claimed to be " famous " around here ....

That's just it.. some of the in game video shows your beautiful creation as an ugly duckling.

My 6th CC effort showed promised only to be shot down by a bad camera angle plus  poor lighting effects.  Perhaps the frostbite engine is to blame or the animators or both.

Apparently why it's taking so long, is that they want to release it across all 5 platforms, which also means they have to go through Sony / Microsoft too.

Considering how long it takes for the patch to arrive then I suggest to hire Mister Peter Jackson to film it, it might be the thing. There is already a song in the game that sounds very familiar to to certain movie hobbit's rendition.

Maybe. Whatever is the case of this atrocious delay, I hope that male elves will get their fix in the upcoming patch. My hope is my shield. After 2.5 weeks waiting I feel more like a turtle. hoping and hoping.

Another day goes by and still no word from BioWare about the content of the promised and MUCH needed patch and when we can expect it? Guess we're all just wasting away here in the dark corner of BioWare's Forum of Repression. The shadows of the pathetic UI and the abysmal PC controls are growing larger and larger by the day, crowding out the light of the brilliant game universe. I want to keep playing, but more and more it feels like a chore, but I know that it will probably be goodbye forever to this game if I stop playing and leave the game unfinished. So pretty please, with sugar on top: Release the f****** patch!

Yes, me too, I ask for fffantastic patch that will solve http://forum.bioware...d-its-problems/and many more fixes. Cutscenes deserve a healthy fps boost.

Actually, at least PC players can fix the cutscene frame rate:

Still waiting for patch. I'm pretty sure that I shouldn't hope for too much though, most likely the first patch will be just for PC or sth.

After 2.5 weeks pc only patch? Now this would be the new low, but I don't think that they are going to pull ssj level of 'vile'. I hope for it to be trully impressive, fixing most of the problems, especially the big ones, including broken-glued arms of elves.

After being disappointed about state of the game after release I don't dare to hope for much. I'd rather be happily suprised than disappointed again.

I agree, but as demanding customer I need to at least keep a facade of obviously positive delivery that we are going to receive. If you don't expect much then you have limited options to express your disappointment without breaking an act.

It is my dream to forget about these forums at least until the next game. If they serve me with fix for broken and glued arms then I'm gone, I will be happily cursing on the minor things inside my shell.

Go-Go BioWare Go-Go

I'm playing on PS4, but I've noticed quite a few bugs that could use some work: missing banter, freezing cutscenes, awkward character animations in cutscenes wher my character's arm or hand or whatever isn't touching something it's supposed to be or is simply going through an object (lol), missing quests or quests not completing properly, "stuck" expressions during conversations, missing music in Skyhold and other areas (these are the ones I've personally encountered, but I'm sure there are more).

I remember with Dragon Age 2, patches were always announced on the forums, and a list of what was included in the patch always followed. Does Bioware not do that anymore? I actually hadn't been on the forums since Dragon Age 2 released until a few days ago so am not sure what all has changed.

They are mysteriously silent... I would hope it's because they are banging hammers on the heads of MS / Sony to approve their patches (since they want the patch to be release across all 5 platforms) so they can get it out sooner but that's just wishful thinking.

Wait a second, is this a channel where the Bioware devs play their own games for an audience? That sounds really cool; I'll have to check it out.

If the PC patch is delayed for console reasons I'm willing to denounce and never buy another Bioware game right now..

I'm positive it is the case. Maybe you should try to denounce their games but still play them? Buy them and tell everybody it was a gift from a cousin.

I have never been so much active on any other forum, well, maybe except for one, but it was also a buggy legend of bugs.

So if not today, then maybe tomorrow? Friday sounds like a good day to get your arms relaxed, of course I mean fix for the bug: http://forum.bioware...d-its-problems/

When they contain so many issues? Any reputable company would release a patch within a few days.

In this case we only got empty promises so far, it's even worse than Ubisoft. We had to wait two weeks just to know there would be a patch at some point (3 if one believes the video, I won't hold my breath).

Hey if you're cool being ignored and mistreated by a corporation like EA that way, feel free to do so. I for one cannot as I have high standards. Something many of you are lacking. As does Bioware apparently.
