I know I'm not alone in thinking that the bard songs are fantastic - of particular note is "Sera Was Never".

I love the OST, but I think it's a real shame that the tavern songs haven't been released - yes I know I can listen on youtube and download from there, but I think it's an opportunity wasted to not have a proper release.

Would anyone else be interested in something like this happening?

EDIT: Thanks to whiteravenxi, here's the artist who did all the songs for the tavern: https://www.youtube....vqrUCaOWBFUcsUw

I really like them. I sat there in the tavern listening to them all.

When I heard Orgins thems play I got all excited. Though I'd hoped the lyrics would be related to the blight and the wardens,

Thanks for posting this.  I kept forgetting to ask this myself.  I too was disappointed they weren't on the OST.  Everytime I unlock a new one, I stop playing and listen to the whole thing.

Bioware, you really need to consider putting this together as a collection of songs for purchase.  They really are excellent.

I really was stunned they weren't included in the OST. A guy on YouTube has recorded quite a few without background audio:

Also, the actual artist can be found here:

My personal favorite unlocked later in the game (do NOT listen if you haven't finished Here Lies the Abyss).

I wish they'd be put in an album. I was very surprised when I walked into the tavern and heard the bard singing really well. I often find myself walking into the place, stopping, and just listening to the current song. Sorta wish there was a function to have my character sit down at a table during this, haha.

i also wish there was a choice to select the songs i wanna hear. coz there are some songs i have heard for many times already.

I second a way to sit down in the Inn while the Bard is singing would be amazing. Also, if I could open the codex and read in this spot or my quarters without pausing the game so I have the immersion of the NPCs around me, man. That'd be excellent.

That's a really good point - I'm planning on reading all the codex at some point so this would be grand

That would be awesome. Especially if they made a little animation in the background of the Inquisitor reading a book

A quick question related to the bard songs: I've heard the first half dozen songs in the inn in Haven, but after playing each once the bard hasn't sung any new ones nor repeated the old ones. Is this normal?

Or, you know, just available for download. Having paid for the soundtrack once already I'd rather not have to pay again to get the other half.

As you progress through the story, she'll sing new songs about your adventures.

Does she not repeat the old ones? It would be a shame as they're really good. Thanks for the reply.

She should do... How far along in the story are you?

I've completed the prologue (hanging around in the tavern long enough to hear 'Empress of Fire ' 'Enchanters', 'I am the One', 'Maker', 'Nightingale's Eyes' 'Once We Were' and 'Rise' once each) and then have been exploring the Hinterlands for several hours. I met the main quest person there, but have not gone on to any other regions yet. Every time I've returned to the haven tavern since first hearing the songs the bard has remained silent, though other ambient patron conversations have continued.

I really love these as well! When my OST downloaded I was too busy wanting to play the game that I didn't even bother listening to the soundtrack. But after a while of questing I came upon one of the minstrel's songs that really caught my attention. So I jumped straight out of game to listen to the soundtrack and was massively disappointed that they weren't included. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love what's actually there but I thought that the tavern songs really deserved to be included. I think the first one that I heard that really caught my attention was the Enchanter one and then of course was the one from Origins :) Overall I think the minstrel's songs were an awesome little addition to the game. I like the little attention to details.

Hm that is odd... if it carries on after you complete another main quest, maybe bring it back to the forums and raise it as a bug?
