If you take a look at some of the rantings on tumblr and here, the bard was certainly justified in that line

The Sera song is very catchy and is now in my head all the time (after Let it Go and All about that Bass).

I've completed the prologue (hanging around in the tavern long enough to hear 'Empress of Fire ' 'Enchanters', 'I am the One', 'Maker', 'Nightingale's Eyes' 'Once We Were' and 'Rise' once each) and then have been exploring the Hinterlands for several hours. I met the main quest person there, but have not gone on to any other regions yet. Every time I've returned to the haven tavern since first hearing the songs the bard has remained silent, though other ambient patron conversations have continued.

I finally recruited Sera and on my return to Haven the bard sang Sera's song and then started cycling through the other ones I listed above. Whether a glitch or deliberate, the problem seems to have sorted itself out now, which is a relief.

I would absolutely adore this, I was so disappointed they weren't already included on the OST.  Some of the songs are really moving and I'd love to be able to hear them more.

 

My personal favorite unlocked later in the game (do NOT listen if you haven't finished Here Lies the Abyss).

It's really weird that the tavern songs aren't part of the OST. I can't think of any reason they wouldn't include them.

They haven't commented on this, AFAIK. But I'm sure they're aware by now,

Or a youtube compilatoin at the very least.
