...and I like it. Is there any other class specialization that's as overpowered as this one?

Rift mage using Ice magic and spirit magic is also OP. Seems like no one takes damage anymore. Place shields. No hurt for you.

It was nice since Mages are a little weak at the beginning IMO. Going from instant death against Dragons to solo killing them was fun.

Reaver is pretty insane DPS as wwell and Champions become pratically unkillable. When I solo'd the Greater Mistral with Blackwall I was shocked ![]()

Is it? I'm finding Rift Mage a bit boring, but I enjoyed Necromancer outside of all my companions giving me disapproval points.

why is everyone crying for nerfs?

Really? I had heard that knight enchanters meet their arch foe in Templars their anti-magic abilities.

I've been a KE for a couple of levels now, and it makes trash mobs less of a threat, but I haven't found it "breaks" my game in any way. I still die sometimes, to stealthy rogues, or dragons, etc. Besides, I don't lean on it exclusively. I still spend a lot of the time in the rear, casting and controlling. I tend to pull out the spectral blade when I get overwhelmed by enemies that break the line. To me, it's just another option in the game.

I know the Tempest can kill a dragon in under 6 seconds but I don't think that was intentional.

Tempest is very powerful, as well as versatile. The three flasks can be used in many situations, and Thousand Cuts deals insane amounts of damage. With some bugs, people have reported being able to kill dragons in seconds with that ability, it's that OP.
Reaver is not as broken but it deals a ton of sustained DPS with Dragon Rage, and it's balanced by you taking damage when using it and the 2-handed tree being otherwise pretty bad.
Champion is just unkillable. Between Walking Fortress, the passives, the guard bonuses and Counterstrike, if your champion ever dies it's your fault.

I agree. I guess it's only overpowered when you have all the abilities in the tree and if you only use a close combat playstyle with it. It does lots of damage and make you very very hard to kill, even on Insanity mode. But have to spam spirit blade to keep barrier up and use fade cloak as much as possible.

You don't need the Spirit Blade to gain barrier, it works with every attack. Chain Lightning and Fire Mine are especially useful (even more so if you unlock the fire magic passive that strengthens your attacks by using up barrier); One hit with the Fire Mine and my barrier reached 100%. Combining it with a robe and master craft material to gain guard with every hit was fun.

I know. I spam Spirit Blade because it's best ability to sustain barrier because the 0 sec cooldown and very low mana cost.

Confirmed: Arcane warriors and anything based on their talents will be the most OP things in the series

I like it this way. Corypheus wanted to be a god, and tried some weird elven ball of doom, and all the Inquisitor had to do was talk to a trainer to become the same thing.

I love how powerful Knight Enchanter is. I don't think I would have enjoyed combat in this game nearly as much if it weren't for how strong it was and the synergy it had with other mage specs. Really hoping BioWare don't nerf it but instead buff the other specs to be as powerful and fun.

So healing spells and whatnot got removed to make this game more of a challenge. But they also make every spec so overpowered the game is no challenge at all.
