Hi Community,
I have been tinkering with some mods, particularily one that lets you "craft" gear - props to winter forge.
I have noticed however, that it doesnt really make that much difference? i mean.. it helps but... it seems like. if you're level 20 and have awesome gear, or level 20 with average gear.. the game is equally difficult...
I dunno, i guess i was expecting MORE of a change. Is there anyone else whose noticed this?
My primary questions I guess are:
1. It seems obvious that the game scales to your level, meaning, there are no "hard areas" and no "weak" areas, because each player will progress his story differently, thus meaning the game must do some sort of basic adjustment to match the players party?(i also come to this conclusion based on the fact that your party members level up, even when not actively played in the 4 man party)
2. It would seem to an extent, that mobs also get scaled depending on your gear? Again, with full t7 gear and +7 all stats on every piece, i didnt find myself mowing through them, as anticipated.
thats all really........ I am downloading the Toolset now... to tinker with level / battle creation etc..
cheers,
gear / level scalin gin game?

Yes, they do scale to your level, within limits. Orzammar and Denerim are designed for level 10+ characters, for example, while Redcliffe and the Circle Tower are made for 7+. Most players will notice a significant jump in difficulty when dealing with archers around 12-13, when they get scattershot. Then it mostly tapers off again as you become more powerful.
I've never heard of enemies scaling with gear.
