I'm currently in the Exalted Plains, and so far I've made good progress with filling up my Dalish favor... up until I told Emalien about his brother's demise through blood magic which gave me -2 favor.

 

I'm aware that there are other quests to earn Dalish favor in other areas, but what I would like to know now is, how badly will this affect my overall Dalish favor? It just doesn't feel right for this particular Inquisitor I'm playing to say anything else apart from the "Blood magic." option, but if it ruins the 100% completion of Dalish favor in the future then I'm inclined to handwave that decision.

 

If someone can clarify this for me (with as little spoilers as possible please), I'd really appreciate it!

It will still be passable since you still have the supply quests which end with the Great Bear Pelts which you get from bears in The Emerald Graves and also further down the road when you do the Emerald Knight's Tomb also in The Emerald Graves. The 2 quests with the biggest impacts are the one you did and the one where the keeper asks you to clear out demons at an ancient elven grave site. For that one don't interact with the graves until you clear out the demons and turn it in. Feel free to loot afterwards.
