A Shepard "documentary"?

About a year ago, I did what I considered to be my final trilogy run with my "canon" Shepard (I talk a bit about her here if anyone's interested) and recorded most of it with Fraps, aside from a few of the more drawn-out battle sequences and what not. So I now have a ton of Mass Effect gameplay video sitting on my hard drive and was thinking that I might like to try doing something creative with it, as I've always enjoyed video editing.

Simply posting this mass of video to YouTube in chronological order doesn't much interest me - plenty of other people have posted their playthroughs and I'm not sure mine needs to be added to the mix. So I got to thinking...what if I put them together in the form of a "documentary" that gets produced, say, 4-5 years after the events of ME3? (My ending is a headcanoned Synthesis-lite, meaning Shepard herself is dead.) It would consist of two types of scenes:

1) Some of the more interesting scenes from the trilogy, presented as mission logs preserved from various characters' omni-tools.

2) Some footage of squadmates and other NPCs when they're looking more or less towards the "camera," with the sound muted and new dialogue added in the form of subtitles, in which they recall their experiences and lead in to the "mission log" scenes.

This would also give me a chance to explore Shepard's motivations in a way that doesn't always emerge in the games, by having the NPCs recall their conversations and impressions of Shepard, as well as hint at some of what happens after the war is over. Tali, for example, would be introduced as "Special Advisor to Ambassador Raan" in her first appearance, and Hackett would talk about their attempts to find out just what exactly happened between Shepard and the Catalyst.

While I'd probably have fun putting this together, I don't think I want to put the effort into it if nobody would find it very interesting. Does this sound like something worthwhile to other Mass Effect fans, or would it just be too dull and/or self-indulgent for it to really work?
