Pretty please?

I'm sick and tired of seeing mobs respawning the same second I kill them.

It doesn't have to remove godlike resurrection ability that everyone except my character has, just please prevent mobrespawning till I exit the area. Respawn them when I'm back if you must, just not when I kill one.

I thought I bought nonMMO game.

Thanks.

I can't imagine how this would be possible, unless a respawn rate and/or respawn on/off boolean had a value we could track down in memory and change.

I do not know which version of the game you are on, but I would guess you are on PC, its possible you can find that specific script and change it to a value more to your liking? Anyway, without exactly wishing to sound like a negative Nancy here, but the previous dragon age games had NO respawn's an issue which became all too evident especially in deep road locations. They had waves, sometimes heading up into the high single figures, yet once all enemies were defeated they stayed defeated until you cleared the act. Personally I found that extremely boring, and I am glad DA inquisition has some form of enemy respawn, even though as yet those respawns are NOT to my taste in so far as rapidity. I would prefer they were HIGHER.

Mmh, not a 100% remove remove but a mod that tweak the respawn time because with your suggestion it migh break a feature of the game that when you destroy an enemy base (like the mage base in hinterland) the related mobs will stop to spawn.

Amen, Amen.  The respawns have ruined it thoroughly for me.  It feels like an offline MMO.  I think it's funny some find classic CRPG gaming boring because they didn't have respawns.   I find games boring as heck BECAUSE of the worthless respawning thing.  It's boring and thoroughly destroys the completionist feel of playing a SUPPOSED single player game.

Want respawns, go play an MMO and stop asking for it in so-called single player games like Dragon Age.

UGH I'm on my second playthrough and for some reason can't find the base... I am constantly fighting respawned mobs while trying to look for the damn thing.

It's annoying as hell.

I'm not a fan or respawning myself. Respawning was the lone flaw in Wizardry 8, but it was a big enough flaw I hardly saw much of the game; I gave up in frustration.

Agreed. Aggresive creatures/enemies should be on a long respawn clock that only begins after you leave the region. It doesn't make it any more fun and breaks immersion when you spend 5 minutes in an encounter, go into a cave or whatever for a moment, and then need to fight those same enemies on the way out. I once fought about 5 bears in a row on top of a camp in the Hinterlands trying to claim it. I suspect that they were all the same respawn.

I don't want most of respawns to stop.

I want bears, spides, hyenas, wolves, lizzards...

And DODO BIRDS to be extinct once I kill them just like dodo birds are extinct in reality.

I find it curious how mobs have the bad habit to respawn EXACTLY when I am doing something which is already frustrating.

IE: I am searching a way to reach that ocularum on the top of the cliff:

"Well, this is not the way... maybe on the other side.. let's see.. oh no.. wolves!!" (kill them)  "Now., back to my ocularum.. no this is not the way.. maybe it was right the other way..oh no these wolves again!!" (kill them again) "So, what I was saying? Ah yes: ocularum!! Perhaps I had to jump on that rock that I saw.. let's go and try..oh no those wolves again!! Screw you!!! I am just searching a way to that ocularum.. why do you have to break my ***** like that??" (kill them one more time) "Oh finally I have find the way to reach the ocularum"

Miss jump  -> fall dawn -> wolves appear -> keyboard flies thorugh the room.

I've not had enemies respawn as soon as I've killed them

Seriously? So you saw and killed only one bear and spider ever in Hinterlands? And you stumbled upon only one pack of Hyenas in Oasis? And when you went to "farm" ingredients for the best dragonkilling rune at Hissing Wastes, those lizzards don't respawn in a way "when you kill one another appears"? Etc.

My game must be bugged then. Utterly.

Neither have I. However, I do get enemies that respawn shortly after I killed them just because I took a few steps away to pick a flower  Slower respawns, or just get rid of them entirely, would be most welcome :)

Weren't respawning enemies a thing in classic RPGs? I'm pretty sure I wasn't able to depopulate the wildreness in Ultima games.

Dunno... Perhaps you might check if there are endless trashmobs in classic openworld epic RPGs like Gothic 1-3.

Wait, it's not Bioware's game... Any annoying trashmobs respawn in Mass Effect trilogy? Or in previous Dragon Age games? Or in Baldur's Gate (aside from gibberlings, lol)?

Or you believe we're still in year 1994. and not 2014.

I would like more respawns. I killed a giant and he never returned.

I think it differs. Some cRPGs may have respawning by design choice, while others may primarily be due to memory limitations based on engine/hardware.

My favorite cRPGs such as KOTOR, Fallout etc. does not have respawning.

That's nothing - I fought the same bears, two packs of wolves and one group of lyrium lurkers who seem to aggro from miles away.

Also, Bioware: If you've played the MMOs with respawning enemies you might notice that they generally disengage as soon as you leave a rather small area... you might be surprised that there is a reason for that.

Like bears respawning smack in the middle of your goup?

Like the bears near the Upper Forest Camp in the Hinterlands? Nah, sounds boring.  At least my game thought so.  Let's throw in some respawning stealthing lyrium smugglers while we're at it.  All while trying to click on the icon to set up the damned camp.   <_<

So far, that's the only point in the game were the respawns were a real hassle for me.

Bears .... a constant assault from the bear army.
