Just some quick questions for those of you playing on the PC.

 

In order to use the Tactician’s Renewal item I have to use some Save-Fu. Meaning, I use the item and get my skill point’s back and then F5. Elsewise the game will freeze. I then F9 and am free to spend the skill point’s I just reacquired. Anyone else experiencing this?

 

Second question; Can I choose a different specialization after completing and turning in the required material? For instance, complete Tome of the Rifts and talk to my Trainer. Decide (from another play through) that I like Knight-Enchanter quite a lot more. Can I choose that instead? Or am I committed?

 

Third and final question; is there any way to map more than 8 skills? I’ve found that around level 12-16, 8 slots just isn’t enough for what I’d consider a complete build. I’ve searched in-game options and menus.  I’ve respecd my skills a number of times and am fully capable of beating Hard+ with my choices, but I find the 8 slots to be demeaning to the mage. My typical party consists of 3 mages and a rogue/warrior, usually. I have to make certain either all of us have spirit runes on our staves or make sure we’re all different trees.

 

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

2. No. Once you choose a spec, its permanent

 

3. Abilities are limited to 8 slots. You cant get more, you cant cast it from command wheel. There have been a huge debates on this topic, just search around
