Sorry mate, I haven't noticed, I think for the majority the crafting is so unrewarding and the process with that awful interface for crafting and equiping is so time consuming that I think most people didn't really focus much on crafting and trying out alot of the stuff that can be made. I've been crafting a bit as I'm playing on hard with friendly fire, and every little thing counts, but I doubt many do the same.
