Bioware,

it'd be awesome if you never ever ever ever ever ever EVER put such a profoundly boring and stupid quest in game again. Wicked eyes and wicked hearts wasn't fun the first time, will not be fun the second or third time. Skip plz.

With Love,

Fizzypop

You're crazy.

We wanted an Orlesian ball, and Bioware delivered.

I loved it, but that is a matter of opinion.

This is one of those quests that people will either love or hate.

I don't feel it's worthy of a mod to skip it for subsequent play-throughs, but I wouldn't mind a way to kill the declining approval.

This missions had a Kasumi Goto Loyalty quest feel to it so I didn't personally mind it.

Really? I loved the party. It could've been super dull but it had great atmosphere and I love how open Halamshiral was. There were tons of rooms and secrets to find, although I'm not really sure if collecting all the evidence does anything in the end. Still fun to constantly hit search to try and find everything :P Also there was great dialogue and drama to immerse yourself in the Orlesian game.

I enjoyed it but I get how it might get slightly annoying with multiple playthroughs.

I enjoyed the story content of this quest, but yes it was very taxing, especially the court approval dynamic. I think thats what killed it for me.

Was nice for a change. Also I liked that I could make sure Orlais would get the weakest possible outcome for them as a nation.

I guess the Taste of Despair was over powering huh? I want more fancy dancing. The end bit where you reveal the true assassin to the whole of the Court? Priceless. Ive not grinned so wide in a while.

I enjoyed that quest a lot and I believe an Orlesian Ball was a highly requested thing people wanted to see in a future game.

Dear Bioware,

Thank you for creating a mission scenario where I got to experience the society (upper society, at least) of Orlais.  I've been curious what Orlesians in their own land and in their element would act and sound like since we met Leliana back in DA:O, and you delivered to me with bells on.

With Love,

There sure was some pointless combat in that mission felt really weird how youre in the ball and then fighting guys just outside. It was also insanely easy to gain court approval it was almost like a joke. And that boss fight if you let Celine die is horrible and feels forced. Also the the pointless ambiguity of Morrigan in Lelianas warning of her, its like it would probably help if you tell me the name of the person I should watch out for Leliana.

Or give us longer before it starts dropping. Almost impossible to avoid it when you're exploring the study just past the trellis that leads into the library.

Personally I quite liked it if only because it was an incredibly different take on a mission. That and it gave some nice insight into the upper class of Orlesian society.

I mean, I wouldn't want a mission like that to occur too often but it was a nice breath of fresh air.

You get favor back by being late to the ball (after 2nd bell but before 3rd bell).  Also, if you are socially adroit, its easy to have a very high approval before you start and be at no risk of running out of time.  Even starting as a dwarf with the -10 penalty, I had over 70 approval before I went out on the trellis and ended up with 100 until I had to do the last phase in the royal wing.

I know, and still appreciate the advice, it's more that it sent me into a bit of a panic when I saw it happening the first time.

There is just no satisfying some people.

A side from lack of at lease one dress for the ladies. It was quite fun.

As playing elf, I would've loved to be able to burn the place.

Because it was the las city for elves before the war against the Chantrie/Orlais.

Orlais took the city and kicked out the elves... so yeah, I would've liked to burn them :)

I didn't mind it, but I've only played it once, and I have a feeling I will begin to hate it in subsequent playthroughs. For court politics I didn't find it very intriguing or inspired, but peering into Orlesian culture the first time sated some curiosities. But now that curiosity is sated.

It's not DA:O Fade, though; I was beginning to hate that place on my first playthrough.

My favorite quest ever in any Bioware game. Seriously.

The only thing I skip in any Bioware game is the Fade in Origins, I HATE transforming into those retarded forms.
