I love that they brang back the memorable party banter from Origins, and I've been taking different companions in my party every now and then just to see how they interact with each other. One of my current favourites is Iron Bull and Vivienne, I'm surprised they hit it off so well but damn is it good to stop and listen to. Cassandra and Varric is a classic too.
What are your favourite pairings in regards to party banter?
Cole and pretty much anyone. Sadly, I have yet to get any real cinematic with Cole. Varric bugging the hell out of Blackwall is always fun.
Cole and Solas have the weirdest conversations, they make no sense to people just listening in. Blackwall even goes "None of what you're saying makes sense."
Vivienne and Varric or Vivienne and Iron Bull are really fun.
I love Sera and Solas. Her psst to his elvish is just fantastic. I enjoyed Dorian and Solas as well as Iron Bull and Cassandra. I've tried to have some of the other characters converse together but I can't get them to interact. Hopefully, that gets patched soon as that is a huge part of the characterization of the party members.

That's why Dorian is a permanent member of my party. His banter with Solas is also awesome.
Dorian-Vivienne-Solas is a funny (because of Dorian of course) combo for a three way conversation.

Yeah, Dorian was my first Inquisitor's BFF and Blacwall was her romance, so I spent much of the game going 'get along, you two!' That discussion where Dorian apologises melted my heart.
(I also love that for all his complaining that Blackwall would need to be introduced to soap if they were ever going to be friends, he actually compliments the Inquisitor on her choice if they get together. I like to picture Blackwall's confused face when the Inquisitor told him about this.)
Speaking of Blackwall, I loved that he and Varric struggle to find common ground and eventually settle on sports, at least until the Inquisitor tells them to PLEASE SHUT UP ABOUT THE JOUSTING.

Dorian and pretty much anyone is good. Cassandra and Varric, Sera and Iron Bull, Iron Bull and Blackwall, The combo of Iron Bull and Sera in the Fade.
Party banter was in da2, and was one of the best bits of the game.

OK, I'm seeing a pattern here.
How is Dorian, Vivienne, and Cassandra? That's my next planned party.
Cassandra, Varric, Solas was okay because of the Cassandra/Varric dialogue. But I found Solas to be terribly dull.
Bull + Sera was fun, but oddly not as fun as I'd anticipated.
Sera and Vivienne is really funny early on but I haven't gotten very far with them. I wonder if they become frenemies.

Does Cole make Solas interesting? Because dear lord that elf is dull.
Also, Cassandra romance + getting "a favor" from Varric was SO good. I mean "Mordin doing patter songs" good.
My favorite is banter between Cassandra, Sera, Dorian and my female inquisitor who romanced Sera. That banter pretty much sealed Cassandra as my favorite character in the game. Who knew she is actually such a romantic

Sera and Vivienne, those two realy dislike each other, so whenever they have a B*tch off, it makes me chuckle.
Damn I wish I could remember how it went but Dorian and Sera had me ready to wet myself the other day. He kept asking her absurd questions to which her response was invariably "Sh*t" and this went on for a whole minute and I could tell Dorian was just egging her on to be ever more outrageous. I have to put those two together again. Like the bad kids in the back of the bus!
