If not, where can I get fire essence or intense fire essence?

In the Hissing Wastes is a good Place.
There is the Dog Trader, to the left of it you can build a camp. Right beside that Camp is one of the Tombs in which you have this small puzzle to light the torches in the correct sequence. If you fail it, some demons will spawn, carrying Fire Essence and Migthy Fire Essence as loot. Just Fail it several times to stock up.
If you finish the Puzzle you can´t revert it. So make sure to get all you need.
