My Hero of Ferelden was a Dalish girl who loved Tamlen, got the Blight, became a Warden, killed the Archdemon and died. They could try to canonize her whatever they like - unless they're going to make her a zombie, of course.

But seriously, I think that male Wardens who romanced Morrigan and didn't get the OGB got a pretty sweet fate in the end - combating the Calling, reuniting with their beloved Morrigan, and having a great life overall. And naturally, the Warden can't participate in the Inquisition because of Cory's influence - a great reason right here.

Now they have told us that the HoF is out to look for a cure to the Calling. Does not take much to just say that they failed to find a cure and went for their Calling. The end.

It may still be another 20 years for the HoF before the Calling, so he/she may still be around for another 2 or 3 games, if the world progresses at the current pace.

Hopefully a DLC with the Warden comes to fruition. They brought Hawke back. Why not the Warden? The pre-defined 'personality' didn't really make that much difference as far as Hawke goes. Give us a CC with a couple of voices per gender and let us help the Hero of Ferelden cure the Calling.

What? No he isn't. You beat him up, but he isn't dead.

In case the expansion being all about him wasn't obvious enough reason for him to be alive.

Yeah, he gets to live for a couple more FPs and a couple of Ops maybe, and then he's dead.

I can see it now: HoF, then newest Architect.

That is actually the best dlc idea I have heard in a while. I can see it now. A dlc which involves the warden (orlesian warden for those who picked the ultimate sacrifice path) out in search for a cure for the calling. We can have two token companions like Witch Hunt. In the end the end the the warden reunites with their LI (if the LI is alive) or just return to wherever they call home. I can envision the ending now. Something like the citadel dlc for ME3. It'll be perfect.
The only downside I can think of is the possible implications it will have on future game lore, what with all wardens being able to remove the taint.
But apart from that it really sounds doable. They don't actually need to give the LIs voiced parts or even show them on screen. A letter from them to the warden about how they await their reunion or something would suffice I think. And it will give the warden's story a prefect ending.

Huh, the warden would only be around 29, 19 when she becomes a warden, elf, Cousland or circle mage, can't say much about the dwarf since I never played one.  Alistair wasn't much older.

Because just like KOTOR series and Revan, folk won't accept the HoF's time has passed.

Understandable that folk didn't like Hawke, DA II was a mediocre game and the HoF was still in their Prime (In time line continuity)

It has been 10 years since the HoF ended the Blight so they would be in their late 30's - Early 40's thus they are becoming close to Duncans age (the age of the Calling) and are becoming corrupted by the Taint.[/quote]

Except the average Warden staves off the Calling for a good 30 years or so before they begin to succumb.

Actually he'd most likely be in his early 30's, since I'm sure he's around Alistair's age in Origins, and he was 18/19, something like that.

What was so unhappy about the last three endings?

I'm very sensitive to endings, just read my signature. And the ending my Hero already has is very happy. That's why I'm worried about the dredging up. It risks ruining that.

Sorry in advance, but I just have to do this:

Mine's kicking it with the Creators, laughing at the Solasmancers.

The Warden will come back.

The Warden should come back.

The Warden better come back.

I hope the Warden comes back.

The HoF is probably researching the Calling's cure now because Word of God tells us that the number of years a Warden has before the start to hear the Calling is tremendously affected by how much exposure they have to the Darkspawn taint.  Wardens that survive lots of battles with Darkspawn, like during a Blight, have far fewer years than those that a recruited during the centuries between Blights.

In other words, the HoF doesn't have 30 years.  He or she is going to hear the Calling sooner than that, and Alistair probably will to.

While I love my Warden dearly, I'm very much hoping he doesn't make a return. One of the great things about the HoF is that they were a mostly blank slate, and trying to breathe life into that slate with the current direction the games are going in will not translate well at all. To say nothing that they could potentially be dead on top of this, I don't think it's a good idea to account for.

My Warden had a happy ending before BW made her desappear without any reason far from her lover. If they wanted to end with the warden, why make her desappear ? U.u

Who says he is dead?

Well since the new expansion is called "Shadow Of Revan" I would say he is not gone (yet)

I've put up a new thread in the Feedback and Suggestions section about a HoF DLC, based on the idea given by TheDarkKnightReturns, thoughts (and support if you approve) will be appreciated.

However folks won't let them bow out just like the Revan fans wouldn't let Revans time simply pass and I fear the HoF will suffer a similar fate to Revan.
Become a boss in a future game that has minimal dialogue, gets slain and disregarded after 30 seconds of it sinking in.
So remember them fondly, head canon how their tale ends, but stop pushing the envelope. ..
Or Bioware may give the HoF a fate you won't like.
It happened to Revan and the Exile.
Don't think it can't happen to the HoF.

The Hero was very young in dao. Like 18 or 19. You can see that very well as a human noble, how you are still considered a child to many. Morrigan was 19 in dao. Leliana only slightly older.
