Yes it absolutely did. There are always many suggestions i would give, and little things I notice and wish I could change, but overall I would give the game an A+. Especially compared to DA2, this game is such a breath of fresh air. Love exploring all the vast areas and getting involved in the social dynamics of the world!

It wasn't worth the 200+ dollars I spent on the Inquisitors Edition but it is definitely worth the price of the Delux or Standard editions. Games can't be graded solely on the number of hours it takes to beat them but I'm not even through and I've spent more than 40 hours on one character and more than 10 on another. And its not because I have to play the game, its because I want to. That being said, it still has its flaws which I hope Bioware decides to address. Biggest one for me is the limited range on the Tactical cam. If I had a penny for every time one of my ranged combatants was too far from their intended target I would be a guy with a lot of pennies. The characters move to close the distance anyway. I should be able to designate as a target anything that I can see on sceen. If a rift opens ahead of me then I should be able to target any enemy within the rift for my companions. They move closer and use the attack I want....it frustrates me just thinking about it...I'm not alone am I?

Sort of? I feel like it was two steps forward and one step back from DA2. I mean: Epic story - check, well-developed characters - check, beautiful and varied world (this one was big for me after the all recycled environments of DA2) - check!
But the control scheme (for tactical camera, mouse input, etc) and the party tactics system? It's like they took all those good things that worked really well in the previous two games and just... dropped a bomb on them.
Yeah, my answer is kinda subjective and doesn't really answer the binary question...

This nearly made me regret my buying decision entirely. To me, the advanced tactics system was Dragon Age's strongest suit and what made the franchise.
It's incredibly dumbed down now and nearly half the abilities are completely useless in the hands of AI unless you enjoy micromanging 24/7. I can't tell my Warrior Tank to "Grappling Chain" someone off me or other ranged units when i'm being attacked. I can't set a tactic for a mage to prioritize "Barrier" on the tank being attacked by 4 people rather than the other mage with lower health no one else is targeting. I no longer have that granularity to dictage more advanced mechanics in combat unless I do it all myself. I don't think most people want to spend 80% of the fight in the tactical camera slowly micromanaging every detail.
In addition to that, several of the abilities are completely broken in the hands of AI. For instance, I can't tell a warrior to "shield wall" properly or "charging bull" without flying off cliffs or into ravines or with Varric "Leaping Shot" and watching him backflip into enemies or off a cliff distancing himself from the rest of the party. Totally frustrating.
I'm still a loyal fan and I love the franchise but the AI was frustratingly under-developed. I think it's important to talk about these issues and not brush them under the rug like i've been seeing in the interviews before the game was released. Please let me and other fans know... do you have any plans to build onto the tactics of the game?

did Dragon age inquisition in your opinion deliver with what was promised such as your descions having a huge impact leading your army and having an all around epic journey while enjoying the way characters returned.or do you think it didn't deliver?
It absolutely did. As a whole, DAI is a spectacular success for me, and there's only one flaw that adversely affected my experience in that regard, and that's the Inquisitor's civilian outfit.
DAI has other flaws, but they don't adversely affect that core experience. Having said that, the gutted tactical system is a big disappointment, and that it doesn't affect storytelling and roleplaying doesn't mean it's irrelevant. And the tactical camera is an insult.

Yes - defiantly.
I'm disappointed that there is are no tactics and that I can't make my party hold position but other than that I'm enjoying the combat well enough.
I'm loving my companions personal quests & the story.
The environments are beautiful, finding Inquisition recruits is fun and dragons always seem to be a tough enemy, unlike Skyrim were they became as weak as wolves.

Not for me. I bought the Inquisitor's edition and got a GTX980 specially to play it (spent around A$1000), so I expected it to be great. Unfortunately, the horrible butchering of the combat system completely ruined any enjoyment for me. It's probably alright for people who like action games, but for someone who wanted a tactical RPG that played more-or-less like the previous DA games, it was an immense disappointment. I'm gutted.

Definitely yes, and is my GOTY easily at this late point in the year.
I've got bugs (PC version) like everyone else, but it doesn't take away the love letter feels that Inquisition has evoked within my inner RPG lover.

No.
It's about as far from their original intent, after DA2, as I could possibly imagine.

"We've visited message boards, read reviews, and we've gone to events to have direct face to face conversations with some of our most passionate fans. We've been listening, and we will continue to listen," Darrah said. He reassured gamers that Inquisition is in good hands, citing his professional background with Baldur's Gate and Dragon Age: Origins as well as personal interests in D&D and pen and paper games."
This travesty of a game I have installed right now is about as far as I can imagine an RPG being from the likes of Baldurs Gate, Dragon Age Origins and ANY pen and paper game.
Bioware should be ashamed, releasing this as it is, on PC.

The game has its flaws but it still has the backbone to stand on its own IMO, hence why I personally give it an 8/10, 9/10 being if they reached all my expectations, 10/10 if they blew it away. Despite early disappointments the game eventually impressed me with its amazing world, great story and characters, and yes, a fleshed out ending that inspires me to play again!
No tactics, problems with the tac camera, and the inability to walk (along with other PC control problems) are the major disappointments for me. But taking the game as a whole, it definitely delivered on almost all accounts. Still I can't suggest buying this on PC until the major issues are fixed.

DAI only needs some patching done. Otherwise it's okay. Different in gameplay compared to DAO and DA2. But does different mean it's awfull? I don't think it is, it only took me some time to get used to it. I love the Focus by the way. ![]()

I don't regret buying it but I expected more than just massive maps filled with "gogetthis" quests.
And as Avani wrote: "there will never be another DA:O"

Well... except for the things missing that were in the promotional material.. like the keep customization and that dwarven city/outpost they said we'd visit. And the PC controls issues. And the uninteresting side-quests. And a few other grievances.
But yes. Even though I'm disappointed in a few things, I don't regret buying it.

It is am 8/10 game bit considering the kind of games I like, it should have been a 10. Too many half-baked features and inconsistencies to be truly great.
It is absolutely miles above DA2, but also nowhere near Origins.

It certainly delivered a fun, long lasting experience, but it's a far cry from revolutionary. For better and for worse it is more typical Bioware.
- Good story
- Exciting companions
- Too much emphasis on stylish NPC's, player relinquished to generic clothes
- Inconsistent visuals (great scenery, archaic animations, hit or miss characters)
- Generic, boring armor design

At this point the only way i would be happier is if they scrapped the combat altogether for Dragon's Dogma combat(But i say that about every fantasy RPG anymore), so yeah i would say it delivered,
