I would really like to have an Invisibility Purge spell, or failing that a large bucket of liquid manure and a stirrup pump.

I just ran past them to claim the landmarks and ran out. I got no beef with giants.

To claim the landmarks, I had Cole use stealth while holding the rest of the party back (using Tac-Cam as I recall).

Never had a problem defeating the Giants in the Firewater Garden (one-or-two at a time) when I wanted to, or avoiding them while claiming the Landmarks when I didn't.  All depended on the type of character I'd made (attitude, not skillz) and how I was feeling at the time.

Play on Hard-->Nightmare, (again, "depending...")

I had to overlevel those giants. They won't go above 19, and when I was 21 (on Hard) I found them doable.

Never the Giants, those I can deal with. It is those rhinos that inevitably get hit with some stray arrow or AOE power that gets things running sideways for me in that area.

I skipped them all. Too boring to grind there.

Since I am currently in the Emerald Graves I popped over to the Fire garden and did not have much of a problem. Granted, I am playing on normal and these guys are at my level (18), but regardless if you are patient t and pick them off one at a time you shouldn't have too much of a problem. When I'm ready for hard (still enjoying the story) I'll probably eat my words.

Killing Giants is a good way to farm experience points and loot for cash.
