I've been romancing Josephine. She is a good romance.
A bit shy and modest but reacts nicely. Her behavior resembles how a noble reacts when you try to pass all the traditions and codes.
As for the private moments I think they are ok. They are sweet. Josephine seems happy, which makes you happy, right?
I just wish there were a bit more to it. Like moving together with your character. But according to the story line, culture and time it is probably not fitting? Or is it?
When your romance becomes official after the conversation with Leliana and next Josephine I don't see why there shouldn't be a more visible intimate atmosphere. After all you are the Inquisitor, and everyone admires you and would hardly seriously question your relationship? On the contrary, right?
There is one thing I could wish for: An official marriage scene at some point. It would be absolutely beautiful. Of course some time after the relationship has been going on? It doesn't have to be "the reward at the end of the game". That would be to stereotypic.
But I was tinking about it this morning. It would give the game an edge and raise the glory of it all?
You could arrange the marriage ceremony in either the garden or the main hall?
Maybe this would be an idea for the eventually following DLC?
Marriage scene?

If not marriage (which would be nice for some playthroughs) at least let them move in with you! We have that huge room with nothing going on in it.
Agreed, I kept going up there expecting.... to be able to do SOMETHING up there, like comments from the quizzy (a la Hawke in Gamlen/the estate) about things that are there.

Maybe something that unlocks in the post-game.
Seriously something that makes the post game more lively would be good. All the dialogue dries up and goes away.
And wtf is up with the crafting area being completely empty? Did the Inquisition up and fire both Harrit and Dagna, so they took all their equipment with them? *sigh*

I would love for the Josephine romance to have a marriage scene in say a post-campaign expansion pack. If you think about it, we did essentially duel her fiance for her hand. It would be a natural advancement of the kind of romance story they are telling with Josephine.

I would love to have a marriage scene with Cullen and my Trevelyan! I was actually thinking about this last night. Thought it would be a fun DLC to work with Josie(because of her love of preparing events) to prepare a wedding. Do missions to find or collect certain things for it and then have a beautiful wedding scene at the end (or just give me the beautiful wedding scene and throw out the missions, don't matter to me lol)

The quarters was really disappointing, too. I thought we WOULD have more stuff because we could decorate it, but no.
And a marriage scene would be awesome. So many heart flutters. So. Many.

The prologue stuff REALLY disappointed me. I can't ask anybody of their opinions regarding the Inquisition, I can't kiss my LI anymore (Not that I did that everytime. That would just be sad... and... depressing... and...).
Instead, I just get one sentence from my peeps in Skyhold and nothing more. Makes me a sad, sad panda.

Hate to be 'the voice of doom' here, but, Marriage DLC. Really? Considering romance is an optional content that only some people will engage in, I don't see a DLC for just marriage coming out.
I love the romance as much as the next person. The only character I had who was a 'forever alone' was my very first, unspoiled Hawke because I missed picking up Fenris. And since it was my 'no reload' game, se la vie. I would have loved a "Marry the LI" mod, and used the one made by DahliaLynn for Alistair because you can actually marry him and be queen, but I imagine my inquisitor hasn't been with her love interest all that long, a few weeks at most.
Inquisition leaves you with your LI and you overlooking the mountains at Skyhold contemplating your future together and that's more romantic to me than any vows being made. Sometimes it's the little things. I don't need a flashy ostentatious wedding to complete her story.
You can head canon a dream wedding after it's all done if you like. Nothing animated is going to match what you have in your head. As much as I loved the wedding mod, I played exactly 1 Cousland and saw the scene once. Then moved on.

Marriage scene ? Really ?
What's next, a divorce cutscene complete with alimony ?
What we need to not have the post main quest game to lock us out of practically everything.

Maybe as a part of a DLC. It doesn't have to be the entire DLC.
You could disagree of such a game element. But since Dragon Age: Inquisition is boiled in religion already I thought it would fit in nicely to be honest.
It would fit in just perfect. I'd almost say there is something missing if you look at it this way?
I could easily imagine my Inquisitor bow down in front of the altar to receive the hand of his/her belowed. Who can deny the atmosphere and story contents is definetely there?
The Inquisitor received the honor of being such and given the sword at the arrival of Skyhold. I think a marrigae scene would definetely provide something extra to the character?
And I also think a lot of players would enjoy being able to persue their love interest a bit further?

Why would it have to be a useless chantry marriage?
elfquistors should be able marry dalish style, with promise rings and what not.

The race doesn't matter, if a modder was able to do it in DAO why not Bioware itself ?
Though, I would like first more haircuts >.>

No, first there's the cutscene where Josephine's sister tries to seduce you. After a few weeks of the sordid affair, Yvette will suggest you'd be better off if Josephine were out of the picture so together you plot her murder. However, unbeknownst to you, Josephine has been having an affair with Leliana, who's a heck of a lot better at uncovering stuff. Fortunately, you realize this pretty soon and somehow trick both of them to accompany you in a stroll through the woods when... BOOM! DRAGON ATTACK! And the dragon does your dirty work for you. Injured, but alive, you return to Skyhold and plan to eventually marry Yvette but she poisons you one night during dinner because she was actually plotting with Cullen to overthrow you because he hated your mage guts from the go and felt he would make a better Inquisitor. However, your best mate Varric eventually discovers the truth and vows to avenge your death...

This is the kind over the top fanfic fodder that gives nightmares... ![]()
I could do without a 'marriage DLC'. I thought the ending I got was head and shoulders over
1) Origins: you talk to everyone at a party, walk out a door and get 'ending slides'--most of which are utter BS. No further scene.'
2) DA2: Hawke "Clint Eastwood glares" Cullen. Cullen steps back. Hawke walks off into the sunset. *Cue Varric Narrative and more BS ending slides*
3) Inquisition:

I've never seen/read GoT, is that what it's like? I thought you pulled that off the top of your head. Sounds absolutely dreadful!

Oh, I definitely pulled that off the top of my head and I was trying to channel the vibe of the telenovelas rather than GoT until I realized GoT is a telenovela, albeit one with much better acting (most of the time) and a higher budget. I don't have to say "it's just my opinion," do I? Oh, guess I just did. ![]()
PS: I do love Daenerys. ![]()
