War table mission after I freed some slaves in the Hissing Wastes. "Hire Former Slaves as Paid Workers."

There was a letter from an ex-slave there. He talks about how he was able to buy ale with his own money for the first time since the Tevinters captured him, and how he couldn't stop crying tears of joy at this simple thing. One of the most touching moments in the series for me, and it's just a piece of text without even a face to attach it to. I just want the hug the poor guy.

Any "little things" like this that you guys really enjoyed?

One minor character arc I really enjoyed was the Quartermaster at Skyhold, who goes from being as confused as you are about why he got the job in the first place, to enjoying his role and apparently being damned good at it.

 

The War Table in general was full of great detail - letters from old friends of the Warden and Hawke, delightful hints about everything from Corypheus's family roots to dwarves from Kal-Sharok, a surprising amount of sarcastic eye-rolling from Cullen ...
