Haven't come across any big bugs so far, 90 hours in, just beat grey warden quest. The only thing was the dialogue freezing after stroud talks...but just let it sit for a couple minutes and it works itself out. That's all so far as far as anything major on XB1.
Has Bioware made any statement whatsoever regarding the many bugs in this game?

They also have jobs. It was their job to fix these things. They failed. I've seen teams of developers on various projects have to work on something until it gets gone right. Not that they shouldn't have lives but when you have a deadline (like a game release date) that is the priority. The product should be working properly without these ridiculous bugs.
Programming isn't that easy, you should know that by now.

Companion pathing in caves is utterly broken too. Being a party based combat game when my companions are not following me but not far enough away to teleport to me it makes it incredibly hard to beat monsters.

No it's not that easy which is why common practice is to carve out time when testing is done and what was discovered is reviewed. When I worked this was common practice depending on what the project was. Sometimes testing was ongoing and issues were addressed as they arose and other times it was at certain points, again depending on the project. Often it was both but this was how my company did things. Because programming is not that easy these things must be addressed. And using that as an excuse is rather lazy. It makes it quite easy to just assume the stance that things can't be fixed and it has become particularly common in some areas in the field. Yet other areas don't seem to have that attitude. Are you a programmer? If you are not then really you are just saying that because you don't know how it really is. I've seen better patches made by modders on PC versions than what companies produce which is quite telling. It means that it can be done but it is a matter of how much effort you want to put in, how much time, and how much you care. If modders can implement patches faster that are also better than the official patches released by some companies then that shows the issue is with the company rather than the actual programming and that the 'not that easy' line is complete BS, which plenty of times it is or nearly every application you run on your computer and every game you play would have countless bugs you had to deal with, but they don't. So that is nothing more than excuse.

You honestly telling us you are a programmer who has shipped no product with bugs ever? Then you are the first I have ever met.

Knock on wood, but the PC version is completely stable, runs like a dream with everything maxed out and I haven't noticed a single bug so far. That said, I'm only like 20 hours into the game or something like that.

Simple point. We shouldn't be beta testers. We paid top dollar for a new game. It's not like we got it through trade in gamestop used. And yet more and more of these companies pull this crap. We paid for a product. It should be a product that works well with very minimal glitches and bugs. The fact of the matter is that you do better if you wait six months because then you never see this stuff. Nearly every game I've gotten has been at least that long after release (barring maybe two titles) and there's always an update and I never see all the bugs and glitches that I had read about which kept me from buying straightaway.
People should be demanding. If you think they shouldn't you are allowing yourself to be a PAYING BETA TESTER.
Absolutely agree with this. This fandom has too many people, at least on their forums, too afraid to offer any criticism whatsoever as if Bioware can do no wrong and we should never strive for anything better as paying customers. It's like people forget customers are what run a company. I've learned my lesson with Inquisition, and won't be pre-ordering anything from Bioware in the future. There's no point when you have to wait a solid month for the first patch. Combined with the fact that pre-orders are where a company makes most of their money, I think if everyone did this, we'd stop seeing companies release broken games, and start seeing quality products again when the company realizes people won't settle for less. But this is Bioware and EA, and judging from the forums, most of their fans will settle for being paying beta testers as you mentioned.

Thanks for the info! Happy to hear we're getting some patches soon. Be nice if we knew what each patch was aiming to fix though, but hell I'll take it.
Dude no. Those games didn't have as many bugs as this one. DA:I's bugs are so widespread and so bad that it's been a detractor for some review scores. My friend who has the PS4 version, literally stopped playing before the end of Act 1 because of all those serious bugs he was running into. He never had to do that for any Bioware game.
I myself have played over a 100 hours worth at this point, and the game crashed on me at least 8 times now. I've hit many conversations where the dialogue froze. I can't enjoy my romance scene with Cass because this happens every time. Around 10% of the time when I go to my ability tree the game will freeze. I can't choose Custom Hawke without my voice changing. I mean these are the worst of the bugs I'm running into, but it's the tip of the iceberg. Did previous Bioware games have glitches? Yes they did. But not like this.
Really? Dude, yes in fact they did. ME 3 went through 5 to 7 patches. Furthermore the bugs you encounter are not always encountered by other players. To date the only bug I have encountered is the auto save glitch. It's not like Bioware has a some sentient computer too do all the debugging for them.

Swearing and a tantrum in one post well done good sir, well done indeed. Perhaps you could threaten Bioware with a hunger strike till they patch Inquisition because I'm sure it would be just as effective as the post you made lol.
