All of the "get over it" posts are just as irritating as the rage posts about the issues with this game.

The fact of the matter is, there is a video still floating around Youtube with Mike Laidlaw & company talking about how this was supposed to be a "PC game made by PC gamers".  This game is nothing of the sort.  There was further talk about how this game was supposed to be built around what made Origins great and expand on it.  I don't see much of that either, especially in the gameplay, outside of the connections to the events that took place during Origins.  Had they delivered on their promises, which they could have in my opinion while retaining the large and beautiful world they created, then all of the backlash on these forums and elsewhere wouldn't be happening.  The problem is, they didn't deliver on many of their promises.  This is coming from someone who is still enjoying the game, but I am still going to call it like I see it.  This isn't the game that was being marketed prior to release.

Responding to someone pointing out what I said above by saying "get over it" or "this game is moving in a new direction" is a pretty poor response, in my opinion.  You're basically ignoring that the person pointing out what I detailed above has a legitimate complaint.  I understand the issues people have with the overly angry, profanity ridden posts, but dismissing legitimate complaints purely on the basis that it is a complaint is just as bad.

Yes people would be less mad if they did not lie and actually told the game is more of an action rpg with controller centered ui etc.

D&D rulesets don't really suit PC games, that is true, doesn't mean other rulesets can't be used which are more suited to the form whilst still maintaining the essence of what a role playing game is.

Actually the fourth edition ruleset would have been perfect for turn based RPG games. Fifth edition goes bit backwards, closer to 3rd edition which is probably for the best for tabletop play.

I think anyone who likes DA:I has been too long without playing DA:Origins. DA:I simply doea not compare in any aspect except the graphics.

The shitfest would have just preceded the release of the game (in an even more pronounced way) rather than followed it.

I finished a run of Origins the weekend before DAI came out. Inquisition is excellent.

So basically, everything that wasn't made by Bioware made the game great.

So how is it the game Bioware ever made?

It's the same thing with Skyrim, which is soooo amazing according to tonnes of people, but you have to install a plethora of mods to enjoy it.

Ahh... but you can't mod DAI

Speaking as someone who has fooled around with Skyrim mods for half as long as he actually played, DAI needs far fewer mods. I love Skyrim but the game needs a lot of work to really live up to its potential.

The modding community is already working on a hair fix (to me the most glaring graphical issue). Bioware is working on fixes for PC controls, and there's already a hack to let you zoom out further with the tactical cam. If we could find a way to add an additional hot bar that would be enough for me.
