I like it. 8/10

Combat

While the combat is in my opinion best in the series, it still very repetitive. I do appreciate having far more control over my characters actions compared to just having to click on enemies, that your abilities are limited and above all else getting rid of hit rolls. The enemies simple offer no variety. Even the final boss fights like all the other enemies. This is made worst by the frequency of fodder that spawn every time you backpeddle. I would also prefer if enemies were quicker but I have been told many times I'm the only one who wants that. The AI is also not very smart. It can't seem to tell that standing in fire is bad.

So Combat. Big improvement but would still skip it if it was a option.

Note: Why isn't it a option?

Exploration

Love it. First thing I did was explore the maps. My only real complaint is as said, the rate at which enemies spawn.

I would also say that mounts could do with a overhaul. I found little reason to use mine since quick travel points are plentiful and also that I would also need to jump off when every I found a item or encountered enemies. Which was often.

Overall I enjoy having the option to explore maps riding on a giant Nug, even if I don't use it.

Also didn't like the war table. Never been a fan of having to wait on stuff to complete, nor did I like having to run back to home base in the middle of exploring a cave. Plus I don't know if this is a bug or not but some mission don't leave the table once complete, making it hard to see whats new.

Story

Its fine. I would say that problems seem to get solved far to conveniently that it makes it hard to believe that people are even fighting in the first place.

Also could have used something to tell me that companions wanted to speak to me. Running around the base gets dull very quickly.

Final thoughts

So just to clear I did enjoy this game. I enjoyed more the other Dragon Age games, but not as much as say Skyrim. Will i play it again? Probably but not for a while. I also thank you for adding controller support, getting rid of hit rolls, limiting abilities and separating friendly fire from difficulty. All things that I ask very passionately and repetitively for. Thank you.

Note: Still won't let me keep my helmet on during conversations. I suppose win some, lose some.
